I know he was in a motorcycle accident, so he couldn't play last year, but is that it for him? I saw him as an NCAA analyst just now on ESPNEWS. He looked all right.. obviously I didn't see him playing or anything. Does Chicago still have the rights to him? Did he officially retire or anything? If not, why not pick him up as a back-up PG. He was a great player at Duke, good defensively, very solid, mature player. I wouldn't mind having him over Brewer and Norris.

Edit: I'm sure he'd be really cheap too

Last I heard of him he was still trying to get back in basketball shape (I believe I read somewhere that he finally was able to dunk again). Haven't heard anything about him in awhile though.

I believe Chicago dropped him. If he wants to return, he's free to return with the team of his choosing.

He wants to play for NY as bad as Marbury did. At the draft he said he wished NY was able to draft him. It would be a great feel good story if he could make it back and sign with the Knicks and then have a decent career.

Giving him a small contract and seeing how he plays couldn't hurt any.

Didn't he say Chicago would have the first shot at him, if he ever comes back?

Bulls were very generous with him and he would give them first shot. They have really moved on and he is free. That is correct. Im sure Jamal would not be that happy with him, but Jamal go the contract now.

He is a great kid, hard worker and I root for him to return and do so in a big way! IM glad he is working on Television incase he does not make it. He has a good head on his shoulders!

I think the Bulls paid him part of his contract off even though they didnt have to because the accident voided it (no motorcycles)Classy thing to do.Reminds me of that other Duke graduate,Bobby Hurley who was never quite the same after his accident.

Id also give Williams a shot but no big money, long term deal of course.
