Only time I saw Bogut was the olympic footage. I havent seen him this year but if enough people say your a duck you probably have webbed feet. So I would say Bogut has franchise potential. Ive seen most of the other college guys at least twice and the only other one I see with franchise talent is Rudy Gay. He reminds of a lot of Pippen, only not as ugly.

I could see why Marvin Williams is on top there. He's got a great body, excellent work ethic, and doesn't have a huge ego. He's a humble kid and he could go very far given his willingness to work at things.

Unless we get the #1 or maybe 2 or 3 pick, the players we should be targetting in this draft are Elton Brand, Zach Randolph, Ron Artest, and a few others. (We trade the player we draft, expiring contracts, and possibly give up one of our young players.)

i've seen bogut play that one time on espn. i'm sure you'll be able to see him during the tournament. (on a side note, if cbs was smart and put the entire tournament not only on cbs but on ppv, they would make a TON of money).

anyway, he's strong, has a little bit of nastiness to him and has great footwork and moves. his attitude is the antithesis of tim thomas. does he have the nba speed and can he do it against the strength of nba players, nobody can answer that question but he looks legit from the one time i saw him.

rudy gay is going to be good. his jumper is sweet and he plays both ways. good player. probably will rank DEAD LAST in jersey sales but a good player nonetheless.

hahaha thats so true. he will rank dead last.

You can't go wrong with Bogut. Worst case scenario he'll be an allstar center which is not that hard to accomplish in a league where good centers are extremely rare. And we are in desperate need of an allstar player.

That was hilarious!
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I think Bogut is the only franchise player in this draft. But there are many potnetial NBA all-star--to very solid player level players in this draft. the list that you presented doesnt represent many players who might apply for early entry

I would say it like this, although we know many players wont come out

C-Bogut Taft Boone eric williams Andrew bynum PF-SWilliams Simien diogu gray turriaf
SF Gay Williams Graham Green Granger
combo F Gomes Fesekas Warick Frye Villenueva

I think Boone could be close to franchise, but it really seems like he'll go top three 2006.

I'm curious to actually see a game from Bogut.

anyone know if Bogut will be on TV again before the tournament starts???

You'll get a chance to see him in March. He's going to have a great tournament. Then he will finally get the recognition he deserves!

Ok, I got a few things to say about this list.
#1. Marvin Williams deserves that 6star potential, he's gonna be a monster in the NBA.

#2. While I love Bogut as much as everyone, this guy is not a franchise player YET. He's not Tim Duncan yet, Utah has played 2 ranked teams all year and they play the likes of Weber St, San Diego State Univ on a regular basis, so lets wait until tournament time to MAKE SURE this guy can play against real talent. He's going against guys that are much smaller on a nightly basis.

#3. To put Salim Stoudamire and Jaret Jack as 1star prospects is ridiculous, Stoudamire is shooting 55% from 3 point range and averaging 18ppg this year... 55% from 3land! Thats better then Reddick, too bad he's on the west-coast and does not get the publicity and exposure that JJ Reddick of Duke gets.

#4. If Ryan Gomes slips to the second round, Isiah Thomas better nab him if he can, the guy should have capitalized on his exposure last year and went pro but instead came back and Providence has really struggled, but its not his fault. He'd make a nice 3 in the NBA, he can shoot and play the post.

ok here's Bogut's schedule. He's only on espn full court so most won't be seeing him again til the tournament.

we dont have a 2nd round pick, which sucks because it will be decent. The Hawks have our #2 this year for the Nazr trade

Actually Ryan Gomes is better this year than last year, especially considering he is double teamed alot on that thin team. Ive always liked Gomes, i think hes a poor mans Paul Pierce--that would be awesome to swipe him with a 2 because he had lottery offensive talent but hes not so great on the D, but does have a big body and long arms.

the reason why gomes and stoudemire are considered lower tier prospects are because they are tweeners, especially the 6-1 stoudemire who plays SG. Gomes can get away with it at the 3 becauase of his touch has been extended to 3 pt land. But his best game is as a post up 3 like Penny. Id be thrilled to grab him if he slipped, if we have a darn pick in the 2nd round, but I have a good feeling he will be top 20. I can salim being drafted 29-30 by the spurs--he needs to find a team where he would be a niche player

as far as Bogut, hes far and away better than anyone in this draft, i think hes an elite superstar player, afew other guys can be all-star types

ATL recieves A 2005 2nd rd pick. So if we get Houston's 2nd rder than we could keep our own.
