its not a negative article like the title might imply. ---- Knicks: Williams has a mountain to climb Wednesday, February 16, 2005 BY DAVID WALDSTEIN Star-Ledger Staff Stan Van Gundy practically saw it jump off the videotape. The Heat coach was preparing to play the Knicks last Wednesday at the Garden, and while scouting the opposition, it struck him. The team he was watching, the team with all those losses, the team that had plunged 10 games under .500, that was limping across a brutal West Coast trip, had every reason to quit. Injuries, a hopeless won-lost record, a minefield of a schedule and coaching turmoil, the whole list. But the videotape showed it differently. The Knicks weren't quitting. In fact, they were playing hard -- crashing the boards, exploding off picks, arguing close calls and taking charges. http://allknicks.com
