they are asking for problems, real serious one's IMHO, if he continues like this. He'll either end up with a groin tear[ouch ouch ouch] or a compensation injury. we have no need to trade him now anyway, if someone is willing to trade a pick for him, they'd probably still do it at the end of the season.

he would've been, but the bottom line is he got injured. A team might reconsider is value right now. No reason we cant go back at the end of the season to see if someone would be willing to trade a 1 for him.

maybe playing him now is because they want to trade him by the trade deadline...having him on the IR would pretty much guarantee he wouldn't be going anywhere regardless, no?

There is really no reason to put him in the IL or IR. Sit him on the bench and don't play him, give him time to take care of his illness.
