He has one thing that Marburry doesn't have: heart....Marb has yet to show that he can lead a team. He doesn't know when to take over of the game.....

Marbury has heart... thats not the problem. Iverson is just more talented, plain and simple. Did you see that stat line? The guy went 24-27 from the FT line. Insane. If Phili squeaks into the playoffs he should be a shoe in for MVP. Forget about Nash. Iverson isnt passing and playing w/ Amare/Matrix/JJ/QRich

Iverson just plays fast every second. Speed kills. He is a player that plays to the best of his ability.

Iverson has more games on both extremes than Marbury. He has more 2 for 13 games with only like 3 or 4 assists and more 40+ point explosions too. They've had similar supporting casts (i.e., poor supporting casts) and over the past two years have carried their teams to similar records.

And your point, Baghdad Bonn?

Last year the Knicks had this great "depth" that you spoke of so regularly. Now, even though they have basically the same team except for the addition of 2 players, Ariza and Crawford, that you thought so highly of coming into the season, that great "depth" has turned into a "poor supporting cast".
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

I don't know wasn't this the same board that was bashing Iverson last year saying that he was losing his step and just a few years from retirement and bashing Rasheed Wallace a year ago also and Vince Carter?

But I guess your only as good as your last game right?

i do seem to remember that, yes...funny how opinions change after a 60 point game...i for one have always said that Iverson was 1 of the top 3 G's in the game...these comparisons of Marbury to Iverson is a joke...Iverson is a shoe in HOFer when he retires...not sure you can say the same for Marbury.

You can't really use stats when you compare Iverson to Marbury. They both put up great stats on any given night. However, you have to actually watch both of them. Iverson is MUCH MUCH quicker both laterally and in terms of explosiveness. And he uses that to his advantage 100% of the times on both defense and offense. And Iverson is also a better all around shooter. They both take it to the hoop equally as strong, but Iverson is just so much more active. PLUS, Iverson has adapted nicely to the PG role this year. Yes, Marbury has heart and guts, but it doesn't compare to what Iverson has. It's really not even a contest.

How is the guy shooting 40% a better shooter than the guy shooting 48%? I know you can't rely solely on stats, but you can't just ignore that large a discrepency either.
