Breaking News on espnews, Karl Malone to retire Sunday. This is kinda surprising because Ive been hearing he was pretty close to signing with San Antonio

I was expecting him to play with either SA or Miami to try to get a ring. I'm surprised.

wonder if they would be intrested in KT+ pick 45 for malik + picks 30+31? I would re-visit this, the money is close.

the money works... both players have trade kickers. KT makes more at the end of his deal. We could offset that buy including cash considerations.

Briggs... I've been pining for that deal. Rose is a decent player, he just needs a change of scenery, and the two late #1s could be used to fill out the bench, or take a shot on a Euro guy that might not come over for a year (like Krstic)

Briggy, Malik is a nice player, but small for a PF, and we loaded at SF for the moment (thank you Reezy!).

While we did wonders with Reezy, SA uses those pick to incubate Eurotalent and bring them back in 2 years. This is really helping them stay on top with little cost. Do you think we should do the same, stash some young players in Euroland as a form of minorleague?

I think they'd rather have the two late 1st round picks than Kurt. I know I would.
