Jason Richardson should be asked to go.......I wanna see him complete those missed dunks he had last year. Even though he missed them they were some of the most amazing attempts i've ever seen in the air.

JR Smith gets my vote too.

Ariza doesn't have much power or grace in his dunks. We'll see....it would be nice. I think Ariza will be rep better than Starks and Christie I know that.

Ariza is not a slam dunk contestent, he is active around the basket and gets a lot of put backs, but he isn't a skilled dunker, he does the same two handed pull up every time no creativity, no flare, no grace......Dunking is all about spontaneous creativity in flight.....

Look for Wade, Smith, Smith, Richardson

Richardson already came out and said that they haven't invited him yet, and if they did, he would decline it. Can't find the link to where I saw it, so sorry, and take it for what it's worth.
Amare is the only one that is definately participating this year.

Anybody 6'9 or taller shouldn't be in the slam dunk contest. Once you're that tall it's not special that you can dunk. It's all about how high a person's feet get off the ground. Those power forwards and centers who enter the slam dunk contest are not impressive to me.

agreed...Chris Anderson threw down some nasty dunks a couple years ago but it was just whatever...i'd MUCH rather see a short guy catch air & throw it down...Steve Francis was awesome to watch...& who can forget Spud Webb? that was the sickest dunk contest ever he had with Dominique.
