I disagree with Aldridge on this one. I think that if he quits and is still under contract the Knicks would get some sort of compensation to allow him to go to another team. Just like in football with the St Louis Rams and Dick Vemeil. It makes more sense that if he was fired, the Knicks would get no compensation. Sometimes Aldridge can be dead wrong on issues.

Exactly. Miami had to get our permission to sign riley and they sent a 1st rounder as compensation.
