Reports are now saying that LJ's back is feeling so good that he isn't going to have it checked by doctors. This is bad news for the Knicks who now have 4 power forwards (not including Camby or Michael Wright) and Glen Rice. My concern is that Van Gundy will stay loyal to LJ and give him the starting job despite his declining numbers, health problems, and the fact that Weatherspoon, Thomas, and even Harrington are better players at this stage in their careers. My other fear is that Layden may feel the need to address the logjam at power forward and trade Kurt Thomas for Greg Ostertag or some similar scenario. The Knicks need LJ to retire or they need to move him for another fat contract( i.e. Vin Baker).

Look, at least with this Rice + Ward trade, we are NOT getting back Vin Baker or Greg Ostertag. I just don't understand why Layden has this fetish with ex-Utah Ballers.

Probably because Utah b-ball is the only ball he has ever watched in his life, he is clueless.[:d]
