if that's the starting lineup - then isiah should get fired.

what makes you say that?

I don't think TT makes it that long. I can very easily see him going in a deal this summer. Destination is still unknown.

if not this summer before next year's deadline for sure. I hope our frontline doesn't consist of KT and TT

they are going to say some sht like, well, there was some injuries and usually a team needs a year to play together yadyada. heck i hope its not the case, but if no one is moved by the deadline, i think it becoms a plausible reality unless we get lucky in the draft.

I think it will just get harder to trade KT because he will be getting older and they are paying him to much money to do nothing. Mike Sweetney IMHO, has taken a step back and has only proven to be a very nice bench player[ a guy who needs serious training for his body]

Its not going to be easy gettinga replacement player at PF. We can say we want this guy that guy, put lets see what happens when reality time comes in.

pessimistic, are we briggs?

i can understand the pessimism but isiah has already shown that he makes deals. i can't see this summer go by without any type of deal from isiah, especially for a front court player.

heck, even dolan is talking about a couple of years and how isiah said this was a .500 team before the season started. that's completely different from what we've usually heard. so i don't think the injury thing is the way they're thinking even though that's what they're saying. he's not going to come out and say "it's my fault or the players stink".

if kurt AND nazr are still on this team, then isiah did not do his job. even if it means taking a worse player in return but still acquiring a pick or two.

if Swift, Nate Robinson, Ariza, Sweetney and Marvin Williams are the bench then I would say we are in pretty good shape, considering Nazr and TT are in their walk years and will have some very good value as the season goes on :)

I wont take that bet because I think the odds are pretty good thats what we will have next year.

Briggs I usually agree with most of what you say but I am totaly sure there will be changes to this team which will include some of the starting 5. I bet that any , from 1 to 3 starters will be different next year. I would think the first to go should be kt if isiah gets any decent offer.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

unless they get into a lottery position 1-2-3, I have a feeling they will trade the pick for someone like antoine walker in a S+T. he is a FA, but a team like atlanta would probably be willing to trade for TT if we gave them a high pick + cash. And then Isiah will tell us we traded for a young vet all star PF and we had no chance to get this in the draft yadayada, thats how it will be.

You think there is really a change from laydumb? unless we win it, were not drafting sht.

I'm not so sure about that scenario with walker... why would it be impossible to keep the pick?

well God I hope not and it probably wouldnt be with Thomas, more like a combination of Baker and Norris,[although i dont see walker getting anything more than an MLE]

why the pick? because to facilitate Atlanta taking on those contracts lets say baker and Norris are 7mm and Isiah gives Walker a 5 year 40mm$, they take back 3mm and a high lottery pick.

I know what you are saying, there is NO way in hlll I would do that, but thats what I see. Ending contracts dont mean that much without something to spice them up and this way isiah doesnt increase the payroll or take back extra contracts. they have a veteran team, this thing that they will stop and start building around young players is BS. To the Knicks 29 is young. Do you see them changing the way theyve done business?

Isiah has had great success in the draft with every team he's been with. He's publicly said he desires to get young, and his orginal round of trades was to if nothing else acquire more attractive assets he could use later.

By the way... Walker for the MLE would be a freakin coup. If Swift doesnt take it Walker would be a good shot. I would rather have Swift because he fits a style of play I'm looking to create, but Walker is actually a much better player

hehe, that's a contender already.

I don't know if I'm willing to ride with Artest anymore however. He just seems like bad news for a team the features BAD CHEMISTRY right now.
