Nazr is in a huge slump, or he is just bad and was living off Marbury. At one point Nazr had all-star numbers and was averaging a double double. Now he has decreased in every statistical field, now he has the stats of a backup center. THE KNICKS NEED A NEW FRONTCOURY BESIDES SWEETS!!
What's Defense?

Trade Kurt and Nazr to N.O for P.J. Brown and find a partner to get draft picks from. Play Bruno at Center with Sweetney at the PF as our starters. Kurt had 19 boards, but how many points or assists did he have? Marb is the only man dishing assists for this team, when guys are not scoring as it has been all season long, we will always lose.

points wasn't the problem. The problem was Amare scoring 32 & 15 on Kurt and Nash's 26 & 14 on Stephon

He's also our best FT shooting big man, but it's not like it's helping the team

I was replying to a statement about assists. Kurt is also our best defensive big and one of if not our best rebounder. You guys keep comparing him to Amare etc. He does not compare but to play on this team he only has to be better then Sweeney and Vin. Vin is done and Sweeney is so over-rated by this board it's a joke. It seems it's most of the guys who loved Frank Will last year - man he's having quite the career. Sweeney may someday be pretty good - but he ain't yet. I personally believe you do not give someone who doesn't even bother to get in shape a starting job - when he is foul prone, turnover prone and is a much worse defensive player then the player you want to replace.

How can you be great when you don't know how many minutes you will be playing on any given nights? As a young player, it is imperative to have him on the court to learn the hard way. We are not winning and we don't even have a chance to go to the playoffs. The next 28 games, Ariza and Sweetney should be our starters to know whether or not they are worthy or not. Marb needs to have the opportunity to play with those kids to develop the much needed chemistry for next season. Kurt is dead weight and we need to give him a chance at helping another team..

Sweeney is in the rotation every night (he has played less then 10 minute 4 times not counting injuries). Most players in this league who become starters have the same situation. You play well you earn minutes. You come into camp in shape you work hard consistently you improve your weaknesses and you earn your way to a starting job. Sweeney has not shown himself to be a special enough talent or a hard enough worker to skip the steps that all but the most talented players in the league go thru. Rewarding inconsistent effort and the inability to stay in shape with a starting job is often counter productive. He gets plenty of minutes to prove himself - he just doesn't.

this argument is old man. Check out Sweetney per minute play ratio and compare it to Kurt's. Now if Sweetney's numbers are better, that enough should tell you that Sweetn deserves to start. He goes to the charity lines a lot more, passes the ball better, has a postup game, rebounds just as well as Kurt. Who would you much rather have especially when your team is consist of nothing but jump shooters????

Mohamed has been garbage, is garbage, and will always be garbage.

We should have traded him when we had the chance, at the absolute pick of his value, and thats speakin for his entire career.

Now we are stuck with yet another looser, what a key to the trade he is.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

YOU should look at the stats. His assist to turnover ratio is TERRIBLE .45 (compared to KT 1.6) he has had 29 games with 0 assists and only 12 games with 0 turnovers. That is not an indicator of a good passer. That is one of my main beefs with his game - it is mistake prone - typical of a young player who is not ready for major minutes. He has not shown that he is in shape to play starter minutes he looks tired with the minutes he gets. The fact that he tires easily gets a lot of his stats and against the second string and is foul prone indicates his stats won't hold up with major minutes (except the negative ones).

Nazr should've been dealt a while ago, when his numbers were looking good. He's still tradeable, and shouldn't be on this team after the deadline.
