Defensive lapses. Losing the ball. Shooting a three when he clearly wasn't the first option. Come on, lose this guy already.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

That game was a real killer for me. It really was man. I felt something die inside me after that game. I hate watching games like that.

That's his first bad game since he's been back, although I didn't like his BIG mistake, I won't get down on him for it. I think he should start over Ariza (until TT shows he's ready to play ball) simply because he's smarter (ex point guard- sees the floor better) at this time and we need Ariza's energy on the 2nd unit.

actually he wasn't very pathetic at all... a couple mistakes, but he didn't cost us the game... he's been playing very well since he's been back, unlike some of the superstars on this team...

i'd actually like to see penny get more minutes... i've noticed that when he gets a lot of minutes he produces a lot more, but when he's barely in the game, his numbers suffer...

Overall I think penny has been very good since his return. He's doing what he's supposed to be doing..

yeah, except missing the wide open 3 pointer in the closing second of the SAC game, throwing an errant inbounds pass to allow SAC to tie up the game, & driving right into a double team in the final seconds & committing yet another crucial T/O to cost us that game...but otherwise, he's been playing great.

TMS, right on the money and exactly why I started the thread. His game exasperated me that night. I couldn't believe he could make so many mistakes in two minutes down the stretch. And he is supposed to have a high basketball IQ.

Funnily enough, Hardaway is leading the team in rebounding against Utah right now.

Does anybody know why we keep posting Penny up? I'm kinda lost in this new outstanding strategy by our top noch coaching staff.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

yea man its crazy why we keep trying to post him up, tonight he got the ball in the post a lot and i dont think he scored once, well maybe once but you all get the point. But aside from the last 2 minutes of that SAC game Penny has been playing pretty well. He's the least of our problems.

For all of his woes and injuried, Penny is still a really smart player, although at times I think that he thinks he is a prime-time starter and tries to act like one when he is not. Put him in the post when a smaller SG is trying to guard him and he can back the player down and shoot over the top OR hit a cutter (TT) OR hit the open person once he is doubled (Marbury). Sweets can't do that yet. It's a new look for the Knicks and one in which Utah probably didn't prepare for... good call by Herb.

He is cap fodder, and we need bodies. So long as he does not stagnate Reezy, let him have some minutes.
