I thought moving Crawford to PG and Marbury off the ball would help some things. Force Jamal to use his great skills to open things up. Too many times he gets the ball w/ 6 on the clock and winds up just shaking and baking for long jumpers.

On the other note:
Knicks face the Kings tomorrow, but Isiah Thomas claims to have not talked to Sacramento about on-the-block Chris Webber, who had the same microfracture surgery as Houston.

Thomas' remark last week was likely in reference to Webber when he said, "We definitely have to make sure we don't keep repeating the sins of the past and stop rehabbing players who have big contracts and big names that are not as young as they used to be. We've got to be careful."

Thomas also said he didn't want to make any "short-term quick fixes."

Yes! I read it and thought the same thing. Of course I call it "Starphuching"!

I hope Isiah is true to his word. Its funny though, even the most die hearts whom frequent these posts cry for big change, huge trades, and target the very type players Isiah mentions!

Isiah has all my patience if this tract will be taken. I hoped Layden would do the same.

We are worse off with this team, but I give Isiah props for trying. The players are failing here. With Laydens group, they were over paid, but were achieveing about as good as expected. This group is underachieving.

But as slow as it will be, Changes will happen, and hope shall sweep the land again.

Isiah says things to keep the buzz, I understand, but its the actions that speak louder.

I don't care if he do does not make another change this year!

These guys, if they have any pride will do better! If not, then let them rot and we'll do what we can do when we can do it!

Underachieving? Really?

KT and Nazr are backups on a team that is very good. Ariza is a rookie. Penny, Houston have been hurt all year. Marb and Craw have just about lived up to their billing.

TT has underachieved all year and is now hurt.

So... how is this team underachieving? How about everyone is overexpecting?

I don't think people overexpected from this team- at one point we were what, 16 & 13? This team played some good ball and beat some good teams.

I don't think you can deny the knicks imploded.

Did any other team have a worse record in January?

The talent is there on this team- its a question of players developing chemistry and learning to win together.

That stopped happening and you can blame injuries.

I am also starting to wonder whether its time to start subscribing to the theory that Marbury is a looser-diva. Talented, yes, but a cancer nonetheless.
