It has been disturbing the lack of anger in the players and coaches with the last set of uninterested play....thank you Herb for changing that.

After the game Williams lit into the team, according to one of the people in the room, and said the players had to have some professional pride in their performance. And if they don't, Williams promised he would be making some changes.

"He was as (mad) as I've ever seen him," the person said. "He had a right to be."

yeah i agree. They need to hear that and WE need to hear that. i actually didn't watch the last 2 games. I don't think I've missed 2 consecutive games since the layden era. I missed a BUNCH of games then because I had a praetty good idea of what i'd be seeing.

i'm alright with rebuilding, but I want a team out there that's trying with all their might. Right now I only see that from Brewer, Reezy, JYD and Moochie (unfortunately ). So screw it, put those 4 on the floor, and i know who i want at center - the HERBINATOR! Player-coach, swat some leather. SHow these punks what some old bones can do!

the only redeeming value in watching the Knicks these days is to keep track of Ariza and Sweets. With Ariza you can see the progress - taken in the context of the whole year - but I kinda think Sweets has regressed some.

whatever happened to take action instead of barking threats to the players???? Lenny tried that same **** and it didn't help. Herb needs to start by changing the frontcourt. However, he will never sit Kurt Thomas.

i would have at least 2 of these guys on the floor at all times if i were Herb:

JYD, Ariza, Sweetney, Brewer, Penny, Baker

maybe the only way to motivate the regulars is to take some minutes away from them for not giving a full effort...i'm sure they've exhausted just about every other method to try & inspire thsese guys to play some Defense.

Sweetney for sure has.

the one exception w/ Sweetney is we have seen what everyone else can do and have still lost games. Sweetney has never been handed 30 minutes a game for a month. At this point that makes a lot of sense.

Breen and Andriese said it best last night. Sweetney doesn't look like he wants to be on the court. He looked disinterested and overwhelmed.

Crawford needs to grow a brain. With all that talent he should be taking everyone to the hole. I almost had an aneurism when he was dribbling last night and doing And-1 moves then dribbles to the wing to shoot an 18 foot fadeaway.

We need LJ! You think Jamal would be doing this with LJ on the scene?

That is true...Ariza comes in and want to take over sh#t. Sweet is a quiet assassin. out of 20 minutes he will post a 15/10. If he was to act like he is the Sh8t when he is in the game, perhaps that would have earned him the starting job a long time ago....Agwire is trying to get him to be like that, but that is not his demeanor....

Does this mean we can give up on Sweetney as our starting PF of the future and start shopping? I know there is still plenty of the season left but I was never sold on this guy. I dont see him ever turn into a Brand and we really need either a solid post PF or a C to win a championship.

We are not making the playoffs so Sweetney will not be able to build off that experience. How much more time do most Knick fans think Sweetney needs to prove or disprove that he can be our starting PF?

Thank you!! that is exactly how I feel about Sweetney. I thought for sure he was going to start after how well he played offensively in the post and defensively during that 2 game stretch recently when he had 15pts and 14pts(12 in the 1st half).

But they are afraid of Kurt Thomas. They don't want to upset him. i think thats really stupid because a lot of veterans have been benched for promosing young players before. I've always said that we know what we are with Kurt. We're a 30win team. Now lets see what out #1 draft pick can do!

I know Sweetney looked bad yesterday. He didn't seem interested. I can't blame him if the minutes he's getting are so sporadic. The lack of energy that the starting lineup provides is really going to have a damaging effect on this team and the younger players. It's time to play the young guys so that we HAVE a future.
