His value is extremely low right now. He's had injury after injury this year. We might even be able to get him right now without giving up a lot.

what do you have in mind to get him? how far do you think his value has dropped?

Its very possible at some point Wash will just want to move away from him to avoid the distraction.

I would start w/ Nazr and Hou's #2 and see what kind of reaction you get.

That's exactly what I was going to propose actually. They might ask for Ariza too, though.

I wouldn't trade Ariza for Brown straight. I'm sure Kwame will have a good contract year when it comes to that.

unless he's injured 80% of the time like this year.

What I can't help wondering is whether this year is just a fluke or whether he has lingering injuries that are going to be problems throughout his career.

I am sure Earnie is thinking the same thing, asking the same questions!

This guy has such low value that its almost not worth moving him, give his the year to get well and bring it on next year.

he's restricted this offseason though, so if he just comes back for a qual offer and the Wiz decide they arent going to re up with him then they wind up paying $6mm next year for a guy they cant trade and arent going to resign. Waste of cash.

At this point, since there isn't any other youngster that we can have, it wouldn't hurt to pursue Kwame....I don't like him as a player mainly because of what he did during the years when the greatest of all times sacrificed his legacy to try to teach this kid.....He is not a winner or a star player, but perhaps with proper coaching or better yet the help of Agwire, this young man can find something to work with....

I'd give up Nazr and that 2nd rounder for Kwame, but Ariza is out of the question in my mind.
