The Knicks current situation is all Ewing's (33) Fault. Hear me out for a second and you will understand. Back in 2000 if Ewing had taken a step back and not demanded the Ball (A La David Robinson), the whole History of the Knicks could have changed. In 2000 without Ewing (Injury) we went to the NBA Finals. We had a pretty good team that was hard to match up with (See Below). If Ewing did not demand a Trade the Next year and became a 10 and 10 Defensive guy, I believe we would have won a Championship in 2001. Anyway making matters worst he demands a trade because he wants to still be the man, when it was obvious to everyone that he was loosing some of his skill. (In NY it was against the Law to say anything like this about Ewing)And we trade him for GOD D@M Glen "No Defense" Rice who is also over the Hill. We had no position and no minutes for him. Spree was already playing out of position (SF). So Right there at that moment the Beginning of the End Began. We have never recovered from these events and Spree, Houston and Camby were in the Primes of there Careers. So it is all Pat's fault. All this being said I Loved Pat and still do. I just hate what has happened to my beloved Knicks.

He demanded a 2 years extension instead of the ball. At that time, management, after looking at their options should have seen that resiging Ewing was the best way to proceed. NY was always over the cap and resigning Ewing for 2 years wouldnt have hurt.
In 2000 without Ewing (Injury) we went to the NBA Finals. We had a pretty good team that was hard to match up with (See Below).
Ewing got injured right before the finals. Surely you remember the great defensive job on Alonzo during the Heats last possesion? We got to the Finals with Ewing and then lost when he was injured. If Ewing had not been injured in the Finals that year, we would have won the championship.
If Ewing did not demand a Trade the Next year and became a 10 and 10 Defensive guy, I believe we would have won a Championship in 2001. Anyway making matters worst he demands a trade because he wants to still be the man, when it was obvious to everyone that he was loosing some of his skill.
He didnt demand a trade. He said, either resign me for 2 yeras or trade me. Management called his bluff!! I dont know why? We were getting a horrible deal and they knew that we were. I guess they just wanted to get out of Ewings shadow.

How is it Ewings fault if management pulled the trigger on a ****ty trade for Ewing? If they had recognized that the trade was so bad, why didnt they extend Ewing to 2 years? Its not like they wanted to get under the cap or something!

You said this team would've won in 2001 somewhere in your post. I disagree. There is no way, this team with Ewing only being a 10 and 10 guy beats Shaq and Kobe's Lakers. I doubt they would be able to beat the Pacers to reach the Finals.

If it wasn't for Michael Jordan, the 1990's Knicks would have been a dynasty.

whole lot of " what if's" but the bottom line is management screwed up our team not ewing. they didn't have to trade him. ewing came into the office and said that if you are going to trade me here are the teams i want to go to. management took that as him demanding a trade. they should have said we will see and let him either play out his contract or extend him an offer. but they pushed the panic button that gave us glen rice, luc longley and other bums who did not play. i guess they were confidant that faulk would deliver a trade for mutumbo. how dumb was layzie trusting and agent?

How would YOU feel if your boss sat you down, told you that you are no longer needed in the job anymore because your skills have diminished to the point that you are hurting the company.

Now imagine how you would feel if YOU were solely responsible for your company's success over the past decade and this was told to you.

And now people are saying that it's YOUR fault that the company is going down, because you wanted to leave the company.

and I was getting paid 17 million dollars? I'd be like telling whom ever was telling me to go shove it.

I guess that is what happened.

If it was ewings fault, we should let him coach this mess and see how it feels. If he does good, great, if not, we boo his ass like everyone else.
