the jazz have cap space yet they have to overspend to get players to come. they upgraded their frontcourt by getting boozer and okur to play with kirilenko and harpring.

the knicks have ZERO cap space and have to overpay by trading $$$'s to acquire players via trade. they upgraded their backcourt by getting marbury and crawford to play with houston.

utah upgraded the frontcourt while leaving a backcourt of lopez, eisley, mcleod, giricek, and bell.

we upgraded our backcourt while leaving a frontcourt of tim, kurt, nazr, ariza, and sweetney.

i think we all agree that:

harpring/boozer/okur/and now ak47 are better than what we have and
marbury/crawford/houston are better than what they have

yet both teams are losing games left and right.

utah still has $$$'s to upgrade their backcourt this season as well as the draft. we have expiring contracts, MLE $$$'s, and the draft to upgrade the frontcourt this season as well.

two different media markets. no one is calling for sloan's head nor o'conners. everyone wanted lenny gone and are now fed up with isiah. their big $$$ free agents - boozer and okur are not getting criticized by media outlets while marbury and crawford are.

utah and the knicks - mirror images of each other.

now it's time to wait and see what happens this summer...

Utah has a $103MM payroll too? Having cap space and being so far over the cap that you don't even bother with it anymore is the same thing? You do know that AK47 has missed a good portion of the season so far, right? He's only the centerpiece of their team and best player.

Yeah, I guess aside from all that and then some, they are mirror images of each other.

the title of the thread is "jazz and knicks are in similar situations at other ends of the $$$ spectrum" (reading is fundamental).

secondly i said:

marbury/crawford/houston are better than what they have

which is saying how we both have built one part of the starting 5 but not the other and how harpring/boozer/okur are still better than what we have.

i guess with all your anti-isiah and marbury posts used up, you have to have some sort of release...

Did I misinterpret that? So basically you're saying that your whole post was contradictory and not worth reading?

when i look in the mirror, everything is reversed, isn't it?

whatever, i was trying to make a simple comparison but you just degenerated this thread anyways so it's pointless.

Ok great, the Jazz are in a completely different situation than we are. Thanks for bringing that to our attention.

Well that's 10 minutes that I'm never going to get back.

Maybe cause Jazz have had winning record for 20+ years in a row? You think that may have to do with it???
