they got 4 impact rookies in one year, how desperatly could we use something like that? maybe they have some bad night slike all rookies do, but like Tevor A, there is more juice in their games and we need some juice.

Our players are all rich beyond absurdity and or old. you can tell by watching them that many of them could care less. I give some props to some guys like JYD and Nazr, because when i watch them, I knwo they are trying hard every possession. KT plays when he feels like it, when he gets peod or discouraged, he loafs. marbury has been loafing for parts of many game. crawfish, unless he is scoring hes invisible

its just brutal

thats why i really dont care about this ending contract BS, yeha we have raised talent levels but weve made the team worse because they dont like each other, there is no chemistry or fire and it isnt changing with this crew.

lets not start singing the bulls praises so early, I hardly call, duhon, and Deng, Impact players, gordon of late has been good, but this is 82 games we are talking about.. no one was calling them impact players when they started off 0-9...

well, we have 2 more picks this draft and i'm excited to see what isiah does with the #1 pick.

so that'll give us ariza, sweetney, and 2005's #1 at the worst. that's 3 young players with two already giving you quality minutes.

i think we should probably draft a SG. we have to give up on h20 and get a guy here that can hit a jumpshot consistently. marbury and crawford are erratic and streaky and ariza is a long long long long long ways away from getting one.

Briggs, I agree 100%. This team isn't bad at all, there is just no desire or effort whatsoever. Its sad that our rookie can be considered the hardest working player on the team. It should be the vets showing the young players how to put out an 110% effort every night. Its sad that we have to count on the hustle of JYD and Trevor to hopefully ignite a desire to win in the other players. That has been the main problem with the team this year, underachieving. I just don't understand how a player getting paid millions to play a game cannot even put out the best effort that he can on the court. It sickens me...

they have all, collectively impacted the Bulls in a big way. Deng Duhon and Nocioni have all helped to improve the bulls to the number 1 defense in the league, Gordon is a guy who has impacted W-L with frenetic scoring games, especially in the 4th Q. they have all blnded in well with what they have. It speaks even louder for starting 0-9

we need something of the same, a huge change up, guys who can come in and give efforts that=collectivness and team play instead of individual performance. thats why i like Bogut so much, hes a team player first, a real solid passer from either the high or low post at 7 feet tall. we could use him, then see who slips.

Chris taft is not a bad player, but hes 5 levels down from Bogut.

If you were able to compliment Bogut with a Joey Graham in the first round[ one of the best best perimeter defender in the nation who also shoot close to 60%]a Nate Robinson and lets say a Channing Frye in the 2nd round, that would give us a lot of new blood where we need it
C
Sf
back up PG
we need help anywhere but if we had something like this, the number 1 thing acquiring Bogut, that we could become better faster.

so in other words you mean we need to suck the rest of this season, land a high lottery pick, suck next season, land a high lottery pick, & suck for the next couple years after that & end up a young team w/a barely above .500 record? is that really the path to an NBA championship in your eyes?

We need to suck for this season, and trade players for another top 10 to 15 pick.

we'll have our lottery pick this year and hopefully we luck out this time in the lottery and get a chance to select an instant impact player.

then we must trade Kurt for a late 1st round/early second round pick.
and trade and trade Nazr too for a pick or along with penny and TT for a great player.

It's all looking good to me as long as we get rid of Kurt. It won't take us 7yrs like it took Chicago. Zeke isn't going to blow this up and start 5 rookies and CBA players so I'm not worried about the future.

I think what Briggs is saying is that we need young players who have the desire to win. Players that leave it all on the floor. In that regard, he is right. Our players look like they just don't care at all about what is happening on the floor. Most of them don't seem motivated at all. Briggs is just using the Bulls rookies as examples, and they are great examples. Look at the Bulls last season and now look at them this season. The effort is there, they are working hard every nigh and a lot of it is due to the hustle play of deng, nocioni, etc. Each and every one of those rookies play hard and they play a team game. That is what we need.

yeah, we have Ariza & Sweetney...we can build off that this year w/our 1st round pick...there's no need to stink for the next several years to try & put together a team like the Bulls have...they aren't winning an NBA title anytime soon either imho...i just don't agree w/the mentality that you have to stink for years in order to have a shot at winning...it hasn't worked for the Bulls, Clippers, Hawks or Warriors...& the Wizards are just starting having success this year but i don't see them winning an NBA title anytime soon either...unless you happen to get lucky like the Spurs & time your "suckiness" in the year where a Tim Duncan is available, then get back some players who were injured the year before that is.

either get lucky like the Spurs or bring in championship players like West did when he brought in shaq and Dumars bringing in Rip, Chauncey, Ben and Sheed and drafting prince. thats how you win championships. Not starting 5 rookies and CBA players for 7 years.

I agree that we don't need to stink for the next 4 or 5 years like the Bulls did. I don't think that is what Briggs is saying to do in this thread (though I'm sure he has said it in another thread). If I'am not mistaken, I think he is basically saying that we just need to bring in some more young players like Ariza, that will put out an effort and play team ball. That doesn't need to be accomplished by losing every year. We already know that we will probably have one lottery pick this season, if we trade for another first rounder then we will make progress in doing this.

the other thing is the Bulls have been at this for 6 years and this is their best so far. Also they gave up next years #1 for the extra one this year. They have also used top 5 picks on Jason Williams and Fizer. They have also had Chandler and Curry for 4 years now.

They did get a good crop... when you draft high every year hitting one out of 6 isnt that great.

They got Hinrich the year before which counts as an excellent draft, as does this year...

When they took Jason Williams they could have taken, Wilcox, Amare, Butler, Prince, Nene, Boozer or a number of better players....It comes down to bad scouting....

The Bulls were down because they didn't have any idea what they were doing, they sent Brad Miller, all-star, Ron Artest all-nba, and Elton Brand, all-star in the east, for Jalen Rose which screwed the team....Now they look like they got things moving in the right direction......

Winners make teams win, Hinrich (Kansas) Deng (Duke) Duhon (Duke) Gordon (Conn) Charlotte drafted a winner and they are only 7 wins behing the Knicks....Its about heart desire and mind set

young bigs take 4 years to develop - they'd be college seniors now.

jason williams and fizer could have been good. they didnt have skiles teaching them.

just the thought of bulls having had brand, artest, fizer, crawford, chandler, rose, curry and williams only to finish no better than 30 games per season in the last 6 years is a joke.....on the other hand they have rewarded their fans with 6 rings! bulls could go 14 more years of drafting without winning and fans can still brag about the mj days as a cushion of relief while dissatisfied knick fans still scream at lottery teams for not trading their winless players for our overpriced crew. such is life in the big cities.

without a doubt skiles is key...and chitown is trying to repeat history
