What is the possibility of Stephon Marbury for Shaun Livingston, Chris Wilcox, Kerry Kittles and their 2005 first rounder?
It works under the cap. Would the Clippers or Knicks do it?
If not, offer an improved version of the trade.

zero...Isiah won't trade Marbury as long as he's the Knicks' GM...i can't even offer any variation of a trade involving Marbury because i don't ever see Isiah doing it...obviously we're not getting any Lebron or Kobe offers from any teams, so i don't see it ever happening.

For those that will entertain the idea, trading Marbury means we tank the season - placing us at about pick 5-9, combine our pick with the Clipper's #1, to obtain a top 3 pick. Draft Taft or Bogut. As a result, the potential lineup of the future is:

Livingston
Crawford
Ariza
Wilcox/Sweetney
Bogut

I honestly think that its not a bad idea at all, but really wonder whether the Clips would give up that kind of talent. Livingston and Crawford would make a nice backcourt in a few years...both would need to get stronger but we'd have some great height. Forget about trading the 2 picks for a top 3 pick...just go ahead and keep both...we'll probably get close to a top 5 pick without Marbury on the squad, and the Clips will likely be out of the playoffs too. Draft a Boone, Bogut or Taft, double up on bigs or take a chance on a talented swingman or possibly even another PG.

Again would we ever trade Marbury? Not that likely.

It is a phenomenal idea if feasible. If the trade happened, we are solid with young talent at every positions. Trading those high picks for possibly the #1 or #2 pick, if possible, ensures that we draft the best big man available - an opportunity you dont want to miss.

In terms of what the Clipper are willing to do, its difficult to say. Judging by Sterling's history, saying that the trade is unlikely would be a euphemism.

ok relax, Marbury is not even that good. Isiah doesn't give an s he'd trade him for a good package. He's probably beginning to realize that Marbury isn't good enough to be his apprentice and franchise player.

sorry, but i just don't see him doing it unless he's getting back a stud like Kobe or Lebron, which ain't happening anytime soon...Isiah staked his reputation on Marbury to be our franchise player...it's my humble opinion that this type of trade will never happen...i don't know what i need to relax about...it's just realistic in my eyes...sorry if you disagree.

the clippers aren't going to want Marbury's salary- they'll continue to use the draft to get good, young, cheap talent.

For one Isiah sucks!

He has managed to put together a team of losers that has no heart.....this is the worst team i can remember and i am counting laydens knicks...

This team has been blown out nearly 10 times already this season and its not even half over....

I would give the clippers Marbury and Sweetney, for that packaged mentioned above...But the Clippers would never do that deal....Ever...

Why would they, they can keep Wilcox, let Kittles expire and make a play for Redd or Allen two players that would be a better fit, they keep their future all-star livingston, and don't bring in a pg who has no basketball iq in crunch time....

Hell i will throw in Ariza, with step to get livingston, and wilcox, and then draft Hakim Warrick to be our sf.....That is the only way to get the deal done

You then increase you size which is important because crawford can't guard anyone, and you could play wilcox at the 5....

Livingston
Crawford
Warrick
Sweetney
Wilcox

Get ready for a couple of years of losing but that is alright.....Let penny, and tim expire, resign Naz as a back-up, and your space will open up just as the players are maturing
