they dont have a pick, so its not worth it. you can get diop for pennys if you want him next year dajuan wagner has been in the hospital for like the 5th time with some serious problems. i doubt he is playing ball anytime soon.

...also both Diop's and Wanger's contracts are expiring this year and I bet the Cavs want the space to sign a big time FA.

I think they would still have. Ray Allen is the rumored guy to there. That would mean no Big Z however

I really think we should contact Minnesota and see if they would give up a first rounder for Kurt (which I think they would). If they would, you can trade Kurt for their first rounder along with Ervin Johnson and Anthony Carter. Since Ervin Johnson and Anthony Carter have expiring contracts you save a good amount of money at the end of the season and you gain an extra first round pick which is crucial. With those 2 first round picks you then have a ton of options, you can trade both to move up, you can use one of them to draft a big man (our pick) and the other to draft a decent backup PG (Minny's pick). Plus, if you buy someone's first rounder like fish said, you then have 3 first round picks to work with and even more flexibility.
"This is a very cautious situation that we're in. You have to be conservative in terms of using your assets and using them wisely. We're building for the future." - Zeke (I guess not protecting a first round pick is being conservative)

its about 6 million dollars which is really nothing when you consider we are about 50 something million dollars over, but the key is the pick and the roster spot fpr sweetney.

Obviously the money isn't gonna make that big of a difference in our cap situation, however, at one point or another we will have to start cutting down on the money we spend and this isn't a bad way to start doing that. The two major benefits of the trade are definitely the pick and opportunity for Sweets to start, but the money being saved shouldn't be overlooked.

The roster spot is what's important....without KT shooting so many jumper the Knicks would have to force an inside game....

I'm all for trading KT....it just has to make sense for the Knicks......meaning a pick and someone the Knicks can easily dump.

Redd to Denver. They have the cap room or they can trade Nene. Redd loves George Karl. It's pretty much a lock.
