Who would you guys rather as our backup? I never thought I'd say this but after watching the past couple games with Brewer I think I'd rather have Coochie backup Steph. Brewer's D isnt that good and he is not an offensive threat at all. At least Moochie can knock down a jumper when he's open. what do you guys think

How long has Brewer been paid to be an NBA player?

it's his 4th year in the league...he's only 24 dude...Moochie can't shoot consistently either & he's been in the league for longer...at least Brewer defends & runs the floor well...he gets back in transition D better than most of the Knick players.

If Crawford can make the smart decision-making and passing he did in the last game, then he should play backup PG. He was playing PG at times in the last game and did well. He can push the ball up court about as fast as anyone

Moochie or Brewer? That is like asking whether I want to be shot or stabbed!

Both are far more effective as bench warmers and cheerleaders (especially Moochie)

I'll pass on both. Play Craw at the backup PG. Slide Reez over to the backup 2, and use JYD as the backup 3.

And surely, there are unsigned PGs available who are better than these two?

Why would we need a PG when we have Penny that can effectively play the position???? what we need is a sharp shooter off of the bench to knock down shots when teams go zone on us..and a new starting PF or Center...

it would be awesome if we had a cagey veteran who could play either the backup 2 or backup 1, who could lead the offense, score big baskets and play good D. We should see if we can trade for Penny Hardaway

yeah, because, boy Marbury LOCKS DOWN opposing PGs. This is why we need a shotblocker. Also, if you lock on 82games.com and look at the five man lineup feature for the Knicks, you'll see that any lineup where Penny plays a guard position is "+" in points. This is a good thing.

Of course you compliment a player when you bring him in. Isiah's not gonna say that the only reason he brough Moochie here was to get rid of Weatherspoon and free up time for Sweetney!

the problem with moochie is he dribbles the ball for the first 20 seconds of every possession.

But, he can get into the lane and he can hit the outside shot.

There is a reason they are back ups- if they were better, they'd be starting on other teams.

Ideally, Craw should get those minutes when marbury needs to sit.

Lindsey Hunter is an UFA after the season...i think he'd be a perfect fit, if he'd come here that is.
