Who's with me?

I remember the day he signed with us... he looked so good holding up a Knicks uniform... I thought, "We finally have our first legitimate center since Ewing"

Damn, I wish we still had him... our guards' swiss cheese defense would lead to a Mutombo field day

He was/is not the answer to the Knicks glaring lack of inside presence, but yes, I do miss him. He'd still be a great back to Nazr, and a good mentor for our future young C next season, whoever that's going ot be. I loved his attitude on the court and his commitment to helping those in need off the court. One of the few truly respectable human being in the NBA.

a man of stature and dignity. He was part of the era when Dolan wanted guys with character.

Now we get men of Gazy. We get Anfernee.

i miss his shotblocking, but i don't miss every bigman in the league driving right past him off the dribble to the hole, or shooting a wide open jumper because he's too slow footed to get out & guard them on the perimeter...but he's as classy as they come & a great humanitarian.

he's been having some great games as yao's backup this year. Still very capable and extremely intimidating - his elbows + name alone will scare many out of the paint.

Sweetney's late surge last season was somewhat attributed to Mutombo's size & presence on the blocks. Same reason the Haslem is looking so good next to Shaq.

Mutumbo was still very slow and was not nearly as intimidating as he once was. I wanted to crawl into a hole and die when Baron Davis caught that dunk on him last year. It was one of BD's best ever and when I say it was on him, it was right up on his ass.

But he would be good here as a backup, but he helped get us Crawford and I'd mauch rather have Craw than him.
