Funny, Last nite Im wathing NBA tv before the game, and the "insiders show. The dude with the heavy NY accent and facial hair way our boy Layden! I have not lived in NY in some time, so my seeing or hearing him on tv has been almost no existant. He was ok on the show.

I always liked him, not the job he did, but seeing him in this environment was good. We are all sorry he did not do a better job!

Its easy to hate him now, but sometimes we only see in retrospective the X's and O's and rate him on that. There must have been many intangables to enable him to have gotten the job. one must be fairly intellegent and personable to work up the ranks. Checketts believed in him, and Dolan liked him a lot.

Its funny, the guy can talk, have an opinion etc. He does ok on TV. Why was he so unable to speak as the GM? Gag order by the boss?

Easy to blame Layden for everything, but even easier to blame Dolan!
