I know this has been said by others, but Hunter is for real. Isiah needs to offer him the full MLE. He's worth it. He's exactly what this team needs. Split the center spot between he and Nazr and you actually have a good team.

no he is not. he's uncoordinated and cant hit free throws. he's not gonna have much of an effect on this knicks team. He might be a good backup though to a real center

why would the suns want to trade Joe Johnson for Dalembert if Hunter was all that?

Look, if Hunter was as good as Dalembert is thought to be, he wouldn't be available. I'm just saying this is the type of player they needed to go for last year in Chris Andersen and didn't. He's a long, athletic, strong shotblocker. With Mark Aguire here we need to bring guys like this in. I don't care if he can't hit free throws. That's really the least of the Knicks worries.

who the hell r u telling everyone where to post? Shut your trap and let mods do their job and stop trying to do it for them.

Steven Hunter is a work in progress and is far from a beast. But given the team we have, and our needs, we could use him. I don't think the full MLE is appropriate. We could have signed him after he was waived just like Phoenix did. He was waived for a reason and it is not because he is a beast.

Having said that I like his energy and athleticism and we should try and throw a portion of the MLE at him.

His free throws are very very hard to watch.

Clyde ripped him funny!

Pardon me, I overreacted. I was a little upset about our loss tonight.

Amare is a beast. Hunter is a bench player

i appreciate the overzelousness but hunter is a nice young player that fills a need for us. very far from a beast. i would LOVE to split the MLE between him and gadzuric.

Yeah if the Knicks are gonna try to sign anyone it has to be Gadzuric. He has the best motor at the position. He's starting to pace himself more. I really like him and he is fast....

Steven Hunter is good though......very athletic. I'd smack my mother if the Knicks could get both.

He looked like he was messed up on drugs on the foul line!

Yes, but he made several of Marbury's shots looks like they were messed up on drugs.

Bottom line, this team needs a PRESSENCE that alters shots and alters forays to the rim by opposing 1s, 2s and 3s. In case no one noticed this, when the opposing guards and swingmen beat our perimeter D off the dribble, kurt or nazr has to slide over to help, then whoever is guarding the perimeter has to collapse and help, then there are wide open threes for any good team (aka Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio). A shotblocker changes the entire game from that regard.

Hunter is a shotblocking PRESSENCE we can get for cheap. He's young, huge and athletic and he has a mean streak. I like his game. Stromile Swift is a great shotblocker from the weak side, but he isn't a pressence the way Hunter is.
