With Marbury at the point.

*Sweetney & Curry* or *Swift & Dalembert*. Please don't mix them up and say Swift & Curry. Based ONLY ON STYLE OF PLAY NOT STATS what frontcourt do you feel would be a better fit.

I say Swift and Dalembert, b/c they are both big time shotblockers, and as we all know, defense is what wins ball games in the playoffs, and hopefully, championships. Plus, we can always end up aquiring a post up player in the draft.

Sweetney and Curry have a lot more talent, but I think that Dalembert and Swift are the kinds of defensive anchors that this team desperately needs, for the present and future.

PLUS, we can always have Aguire teach the both of them some post moves, which can be helpful.

DEFINITELY Swift & Dalembert...Marbury is a weak perimeter defender, so you need shotblockers...& those 2 guys can run & are terrific finishers, which will complement Marbury well.

I'd rather not have a center who is a PF @ 6'9'' like Swift

I know amare is 6'9'' but he's really good...I still wouldn't like amare as my center

Dalembert would be your 7" C & Swift would be your 6'9" PF...both play well above the rim...Curry & Sweetney would work well in a pick & roll game, but the defense would be horrendous.

neither gives us the low post theat we need to win a championship. Detroit won because of Rasheed and shaq and duncan are low post threats too.

besides we have no shot at dalembert. Dalembert and sweetney would look nice

What about Big Ben?

Back to the question, I take Swift and Sammy. I would be thrilled this offseason if we could get either one on this team.

I'd take swift and dalembert. Right now I think they would help us on the defensive end enough to win games. I don't like sweets and Curry, they are both big and not very fast or good shot blockers or defenders. Plus curry is wweak on the boards.

Swift & Daly would give us rebounds, athleticism and shot blocking which would keep guards out of the paint. as far as man to man D goes, they couldnt be any worse than a sweets & curry tandem. I think they would bring what we need on the defensive end rebounds, blocks, intimidation wise and on the offensive glass. dont let one of them develop a mid rang shot, it would be crazy.

You mean Swift and Curry cause the guy that started the thread specifically said not to mix up those 2 combo's.

BTW it is important to remember, you can develop a low post game, but you cannot develop athleticism.

but i dont want to think about a frontline of swift and dalembert. that would not work with this team unless TT because Larry Johnson in the post. I want to think about a frontline of Illgaukus and Sweetney or Curry and Dalembert or Sweetney and Dalembert

I dont think thats accurate. How has Nazr's low post game come along? he's a little better but can you consider him a low post player? Sweetney and Curry already are

i dont know, neither are big shot blockers/defenders. Sweetney is a good defender but not quick enough laterally.

Okay since Nazr doesn't have it I guess its impossible to develop a low post game. What was I thinking?

i know its possible to for a guy to develop a low post game but it can take years! i don't have the patience for that especially when we already have Sweetney.

I cant think of a big man who developed a low post game. the only ones i can think of always had a low post game. LJ, Brand, Sweetney.

Ewing maybe?
