hahahaha thats for sure

I can see it already...

Mad Dog: "Isiah, when you got here you said your goal was to make the playoffs now you are talking about a salary cap."

eventhough Isiah clearly said the salary cap situation was a mess during his opening press conference and how making this team a championship ship calibur team will not happen overnight. First you need to bring in talent

sid asked herb how can you win without a post offensive presence?

his response is that sweetney can do it. he draws doubles and fouls. and once you go through him and he gets doubled, he will pass it out and get an open shot or he's good enough to take his man one on one.

other than that, nothing of note. he said starting ariza happened b/c both h20 and tim were out and he matched up better with desmond mason and wanted to put jyd on kvh.

they asked him if he's going to give ariza and sweets more minutes or youth movement and his response is that whoever plays well in practice and in the game will get minutes.

so pretty ho hum. Good answer regarding Sweetney. We will see.. the big problem I have w/ Mike is the guards dont seem commited to getting him the ball. He posts early every time, yet it seems like our guards wait on the perimeter. I dont know for what

yep its really annoying. There was one play last game where I remember Sweetney jumping up and down calling for the ball and Steph didn't even see him. I can't remember what Steph did with the ball, problably gave it to Kurt for a brick. It is really important that the first thing they look for in the half court is Sweetney

You can't be MVP if your team is below .500. Period!

this has to come from herb. it's weird b/c they go to sweetney after a timeout when the coach tells them to. but in the flow of the game, marbury and crawford look away. in fact, houston was the only who used to go to him. that probably comes from years of going to ewing and lj, plus being a coach's son.

anyways, we'll see how committed they are to him over the next 3 months.

Iversen has had some unbelievable games this year and hes playing awesome despite injuries. Hes as good a candidate as anyone else right now. Probably Iversen, Nash, James with james leading the way by a decent margin.
i would say right now James 1 Nash 2 Iversen 3 in terms of MVP.

b/c iverson, duncan, kg - these guys do it year after year so it's easy to overlook their contributions but they can easily win. but if you're bringing in lebron and nash into the picture, then right behind them would be ray allen.

if it continues then i will jump on the rid us of stephon, he's not a leader, he doesn't make other players better bandwagon. They were going to Sweetney in the 1st half and he put up 12pts then stopped going to him in the 2nd for no reason. Maybe that is the problem with marbury. He doesn't give the ball to his bigs to score inside like Martin and Amare. If thats the problem then we're in big trouble no matter what bigman we bring in.

wow Mike just said Garnett is only averaging 23pts and Iverson is averaging 29. therefore AI deserves the MVP before KG. Iverson is averaging 29pts because he take 35 shots a game! Now he's saying Duncan will be MVP. He said that last year and KG won it.

I think it'll come down to nash, shaq, lebron, duncan or amare

i'd also consider Dirk (27, 10, 3) and Ray Allen (24, 4, 4)

#1 Tim Duncan deserves MVP hands down. Nash has better talent around him than Duncan. Parker-Ginboli-Barry-Udrith-Bowen are solid but Id take Stoud-Marion-Q & Joe Johnson over any of them. And Spurs have the best record in the NBA.

#2 Miluakee knew Sweetney was killing them and put like 2-3 guys around him to stop the entry pass. When that happends though they should look to drive and break down the D when the big rotates to help Marbury or Crawford should dump the ball to Sweetney and let him make something happen if the big doesn't commit then finish the play. That would only be the game plan if Herd Williams enforces it.

I am sorry Im reading all of these threads regarding MVPs with iverson, nash, and lebron. Screw all of them and lets remember what KG is to his team and the numbers he is putting up this year. Nash is an MVP candidate like Kidd was to the Nets that year he lost to Duncan. Iverson is amazing as usual but if his team doesnt make it to the playoffs he still isnt worth talking about. Lebron has been great as of late with his triple doubles, if he keeps that up (which he def wont) then hes MVP. Until then KG still has better numbers than all of them. I cant believe how quickly everyone forgot about him.
