From all reports out of Sacramento for some time now, Peja is not happy there anymore since they traded Divac. He isn't crazy for Webber and could be had with the right offer. How about offering Jamal Crawford, who isn't working out, and KT for Peja and maybe Bobby Jackson and Songaila. We would finally get a consistent number two scorer, and a very capable back up point guard who plays defense and a respectable PF in Songaila. They would be rid of Peja and add Crawford and KT as backups to Webber and Mobley. Or Crawford could start and Mobley could come off the bench. Sounds like both teams would do alright.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Kurt and Crawford for Peja, Jackson, and Songaila?
LMAO.
I'll tell ya, if Zeke could get that done, even isles would have to give him major credit.

Come on man, it's not that one-sided! Crawford can give you 20 a game too, and KT gets 10 boards a game every night. Isn't that production? Bobby Jackson they are going to lose in the offseason anyway (0 yrs left on contract) so what is his real value to Sac?

you're kidding me right? Bobby Jackson is the best backup PG in the game...he'd be starting on alot of teams...factor in that he has an expiring deal & his value is even greater from a cap standpoint

as for KT, do you think he'd even SNIFF close to 10 rpg on a team like SAC that has guys like Brad Miller & Chris Webber on it already? KT would be relegated to a backup PF role & maybe put up 7 & 7 a night in that situation if that...

as for Jamal giving you 20 a night, Peja is a proven star playing on a title contending team already...what gives you even the slightest inkling that the Kings would even remotely consider trading him away unless they were getting a guaranteed superstar player in return?

crawford gives you 20 a game if your team is 17-23 and your frontline consists of Nazr and Kurt. Pejo averages 20 with Webber, Miller and bibby on his team

The fact that Bobby Jackson is a good point guard is precisely why they should trade him now. He isn't coming back and hasn't been happy for years playing behind Bibby. Something for him is better than nothing. I doubt if he resigns even for bigger money. He wants out! Crawford can back up Bibby or play shooting guard and they can deal Mobley in the offseason if they want and get a good SF. Webber is always hurt so good luck counting on him.
Sac needs to do something different because they get close and never get over the hump. They aren't winning it all as is, so the alternative for them is dealing Webber. Who exactly would trade a superstar for Peja? He has a lot of liabilities besides being a good scorer, and his ppg this year is 20ppg, not 25.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

mobley got an ending deal. They would extend him. Mobley is better than craw.

We are really scraping here emotionally. Desporate.

Sacramento Kings aren't moving Peja. They would rather move Webber. And in the next 4yrs that he is signed they will do everything they can to make him happy again.

On a side note, Dallas should really be shooting for him. He could work nicely there, both teams play a similar style. BTW Bobby jack is going to be priced out of our range probably.

I'd pass on Bobby Jackson unless we got him dirt cheap. This will be the third straight year that he couldn't even play 60 games in a season.

I just don't think Sacramento is getting anywhere as is. And they know it. The Spurs are too strong. The Mavs are their equal. The Sonics and Suns are up and coming if not already there. And the T-Wolves by playoff time might be righted in chemistry.
Bobby Jackson isn't going to resign and back Bibby up again so his expiring contract is NOT a plus for them. They would love to have him back, he just doesn't want to be back. He wants to start. So they should attempt to get something for him. Looked at in that context, KT and Craw aren't so bad for Peja and Songalia if they were going to lose Jackson anyhow.
In terms of Peja, he is a one dimensional player who shoots great and doesn't do too much else. He doesn't board big, isn't a stopper and isn't that much better than Allen Houston actually in his prime.
Too bad Houston isn't in his prime anymore or I probably wouldn't even want Peja. But for the East this year, he would make a big difference for the Knicks to help Marbury score. Crawford is too inconsistent to give 18-20 every night. What team is goig to give up a superstar in exchange for Peja? The answer is none. So maybe Sac will stay as is, but don't be suprised if Peja is gone and some package we offered may have gotten him.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.
