well the Knicks have shown that they can beat anybody..you never know with this team so we'll see. right now i'm still down about the lost to the bucks but it was only Herb's first game
Yeah, but expect Amer to have like a million points. Sweets needs to be in the game and play heavy minutes. Is Marion gonna guard him? He'll foul out or Sweets will have 20 points. If Amare guards him he will get in foul trouble. If they double him Nazr should score. I would look for Nazzy and Sweets to be a big part of our game plan.
Steph will put up some nice numbers I am sure, but what will Craw do?
If Steph, Craw & Sweets play well, we should win. What about Ariza and Kurt 'Sky' Thomas? I hope KT stays on the bench for long periods of time, he can't guard Marion.
BTW I read that article its the usual, but it was interesting what steph was saying about Amare and him leaving teams:
heir lineup, with Stoudemire playing out of position at center, is young, athletic and dangerous. Marbury, who is usually loath to talk about his former teams, is impressed. But he has no ill feelings that the Suns took off after he left, just as the Nets did after he was traded to Phoenix.
"It's not frustrating at all, because the times when I was there, the main guys had gotten hurt," he said. "Amare got hurt, Shawn got hurt. Kenyon Martin got hurt, Keith Van Horn got hurt."
Actually, Marbury is rather enjoying Stoudemire's breakout season. Two years ago, as his teammate, Marbury watched Stoudemire dominate the superstar Kevin Garnett, Marbury's former teammate in Minnesota. Marbury declared that Stoudemire was a better player.
"When I said that I thought he was going to be better than Kevin Garnett, you guys wanted to take my head off," Marbury said Monday. "This is his third year. Kevin Garnett is the best all-around player. Amare Stoudemire, coming out of high school, he's definitely putting his mark down to be one of the best players to play the game."
it may happen,(him being better than Garnett) but I can't see it from where I'm sittin. Amare can't shoot and has a weak post game. He'd also have to become a better passer and shot blocker. He would also have to learn to go left. That is so many areas of the game that he would have to improve significantly at. I can't see him doing it all ever. I can see him being one of the best though. But what do I know, I couldn't see him being this good to begin with, and would have never drafted him. I wanted Nene.
But like I had been saying all along, the style that they play masks his weaknesses. He can't really get it done in the half court as he showed during their losing streak, he really struggled.
That coach and Nash make sure Amare gets the ball where he can score which is anywhere within 12 feet of the room if they are running. And their pick and roll is pretty sick. It makes ours look retarded. Trade Kurt.
