Knicks trade KT & Muhammad. Orlando trades Cato & Battie. You think Orlando would do it?? Sweetney would fit in great next to both Cato & Battie and they have shorter contracts. KT & Muhammad have better scoring & rebounding #s though. But Cato & Battier both bring that shot blocking presence we so desperatly need. Our defense would be a lot better with Cato-Battier-JYD-Ariza up front providing size shotblocking and hustle.

Gives Sweetney a chance to start and brings in two shot blockers...where do I sign up? If Orlando would do it, I would jump on that trade.

New York trades: C Kurt Thomas (11.7 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 2.0 apg in 36.5 minutes)
C Nazr Mohammed (12.2 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 0.4 apg in 30.4 minutes)
New York receives: C Tony Battie (5.1 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 0.5 apg in 24.3 minutes)
C Kelvin Cato (8.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 0.7 apg in 26.5 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -10.3 ppg, -4.5 rpg, and -1.2 apg.

Orlando trades: C Tony Battie (5.1 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 0.5 apg in 24.3 minutes)
C Kelvin Cato (8.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 0.7 apg in 26.5 minutes)
Orlando receives: C Kurt Thomas (11.7 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 2.0 apg in 36.5 minutes)
C Nazr Mohammed (12.2 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 0.4 apg in 30.4 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +10.3 ppg, +4.5 rpg, and +1.2 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to New York and Orlando being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. New York and Orlando had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

newyorknewyork, you should be the GM of the Orlando Magic because that trade is brilliant!

There defense is bad reguardless. They give up around the most points in the NBA. They probably wouldn't do it because they get shorter and KT has a longer contract. Just wanted to get other peoples opinion.

I would do it but only so that we get Kurt out of the way. Actually playing with Marbury might make Kandi a better player than Nazr. I'm down! either the houston trade for spoon + 1st rounder or this!

How about a 3 way.

NY trades KT & Muhammad
Minn trades Kandi
Orlando trades Cato & Battie.

NY gets Cato & Battie
Minn gets KT
Orlando gets Muhammad & Kandi.

NY or Orlando would have to add in cap filler to make KT & Kandi's salaries match.

Dude!! keep it freaking simple. Kurt to Minesota for Kandi is a no brainer for Minesota. We can force them to throw in a second round pick with that and we could pileup talents.....Keep it simple. We don't have anything tradeable this year, but Kurt.....We tried to trade Coochie and it didn't work....Minesota is in need, and Kurt can definitely give them what they are missing. With Kurt they would have a definite scorrer at the five position which is much more than what Ervin Johnson and Kandi can offer. Kurt can knock down the jumper while KG can operart on the lowpost and the perimeter.....Trade Kurt so we can allow our youth to grow....

Marb
Crawf
JYD
sWEET
Nazr

Brewer
Houston
TT if not traded
Vinny
Kandi...

at this point, I don't care. I just want Kurt out....Kandi at least can still be a good player with good coaching and the right motivators around him....Think about it, Herb would have the perfect opportunity to coach an able big man.. or a real center....Kandi at this point of his career is much better than Bruno and Vinny....Bring him in and let him back up Nazr, and let Vinny backup Sweet at PF. Besides, Vinny is a true PF, NOT A CENTER....

True but thats me. How did Toronto get in the mix?? Thats the way it would end up in a 3 way. Muhamamd puts up 12pts 9rebs 1blk while Cato puts up 8.5pts 8.5rebs 2blks maybe that would be more appealing to them. Id take Cato-Kandi no problem id take Cato-Kandi over Muhammad-Kandi. But Cato-Battie I like the best.

You guys are not honest with your wants...the easiest deal on the table for the Knicks right now is with Minesota. Kandi can be have and they would love to have Kurt.....If we trade Kurt to them for Kandi and a draft pick, we could be more than lucky in the draft. After all, didn't Isiah get Ariza through the second round????????

I'll be honest with my wants...I want Kandi man away from NY. He is nothing special, and I'm afraid his poor work ethic may spread to a team that is already lacking in the effort department.
I'm sure we could find a late second rounder in a package for Kurt somewhere else.
