Everyone is considering Herb Williams stint as the Knicks head coach to be a temporary one. He's the loyal assistant who will fill in until the team can find a higher profile head coach. I don't think this is the case. Williams will get this team to play defense. He will get them to play tough intense basketball. He knows the game and he's a good motivator. Don't count Herb Williams out.

I am excited to see what Herb can do. He can't be any worse than Lenny, and if he is, we'll end up with a high lotto pick.

One thing for sure with HErb, If the players don't respond, he'll get under their asses aggressively.

Very vocal type of guy that isn't afraid to speak his mind...

Yes, they will play better dee under Herb. HE was a find defensive player himself..

Herb ain't no 6'2 guy. He's 7 feet tall..

Players are going to have to look up @ him when he speaks..

Herb brings two things to the table that Lenny lacked. He'll coach with more fire and intensity and he is committed to seeing his team play good defense. He's a good teacher and is liked by the players, but he commands respect as well.

gunsewing i understand that you have been posting here since the beginning of time but you don't hold any authority whatsoever over me

what you need to do is stop taking everything i say so serious and get a life

when i post to support the knicks even thru tuff times and simfag cursed me on a reply i didn't see you tel him anything so therefore, you can save that **** boss

Herb isn't the interm coach he will finish the season as head coach, so they say in msg sports desk.

just explain things when you post. don't just make blanket statements. It doesn't contribute anything. it just makes it sound like you are trying to spoil it for others with constant negativity. Other than that you are a fine poster!
