Walton was quoted as saying the removal of Penny and marbury from the Suns with the addition of the RIGHT point guard and a few more players has rejuvinated the Suns.

He also said its possible that Marbury and Penny have also pulled down the knicks as they pulled down the suns. He thought the knicks have a decent core of players!

THe Whole penny banishment has been kept real hush-hush, but there seems to be a big problem with him on the team. Can we be so naive to think that our beloved Steph might also be the core of our problem? If he is the stick that stirs the drink, might we be overlooking somthing? This guy has played on 4 teams, and all four teams went in turmoil at some point.

TT has been a disaster, Allan has not progressed too well. But after those two, there is not much else wrong. Reezy has been a blessing, Sweets is progressing nice, Nazr is better than expected, and Kurt is rebounding and shooting well. That trio playing well is keeping Vin on the bench. Mooch and Brewer are non factors.

Marbs puts up nice stats, but the there somthing with this team we can't quite figure out. I don't think Lenny could even crack it!

This is not hating, this is conversation.

The Suns have an elite big man, the Knicks don't. Nash is a great player, but I doubt he'd have done any better with this team.

Removal of Stephon and Penny. Addition of the right PG (Nash). Addition of a few more player (q. etc). Thats 3 things they had to do and it still does not mention the most important reason the Suns are good again. Amare Stoudamire has returned from the injury and playing really well.

The problem with Penny is he makes 14.6million dollars but he only give u 5pts or at most 8pts 4rebs 3ast. Penny was bringing them down as he was killing there cap and he was eating up Joe Johnsons time and development.

If Knicks wanted Shawn Marion then im sure Suns would have traded him along with Penny just as easily as they moved Marbury. And kept Marbury to be along wiht Joe Johnson & Stoud. The move was to clear all the money owed to Penny and add in some picks. Not get rid of Marbury who is bringing the team down.

Suns said they were going for a championship and Marbury-Marion-Stoud was going to be the core for a long time. Then the changed there whole plan after Stoud got hurt. And then sold team. They also said the Marbury trade would later be known as the Lampe trade but then trade him the next season. You really can't trust anything these guys say.

Supposedly Marion and Stoudemire couldn't stand Marbury when he was in Phoenix. They wanted him traded. That has to tell you something about Marbury. Also, the Suns didn't win one game without Nash while he was hurt. So he, and not Stoudemire is the MVP of that team.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

yeah where did you hear that?
And the fact that a team of Marion-Qrich-Stoud-JJ can't win a game without Nash speaks more to their futility as players than to Nash's greatness. Granted he runs their offense and runs their break, but it really exposed Stoud, he can't play a half court game. The rest of them are also greatly diminished without the fast break. call it the kenyon martin syndrome.

so basically from the response one is either with Marbs, or against, but anything in between is "Verboten".

I don't believe for a minute that Marbury-Nash direct comparision is apples to apples. Too many variables.

But Could it be in Marburys personality, not his stats that makes his departure a happy event for the 3 previous teams that have traded him off.

I always understood the financial dumping of Anfrernee on us, but damm guys!, there was so much Penny love going on here for a while it was sickening! THe guy has been a cancer everywhere he has gone!

How many players get banished for being a dick?

We need quality MEN who are LEADERS and mentally tough!

Do we confuse Marburys scowl as being tough? Or us he a diva using the scowl as his displeasure when his teamates are not up to HIS level?

Look, from what I see, he puts up points, but we ain't winning either!
