and a chance at that number 1 pick for a couple of years in a row.

I dont care who they trade

the only thing I would want to retain is[under conditions]
Sweetney--if he gets on a program to keep his weight toned down to 260
Ariza--continued fundamental progress and strength
Crawford-hes was over paid for and is soft as a babies butt, BUt if they can get him to hone his skills, concentrate on the mid range game driving and passing+D then he can be included for sure

Bring in Q woods or if any other young player is released and move out Sundov and Brewer who sck

Trade anyone I have not mentioned for draft picks or younger players, including Marbury who will be 29 this time next year and 10+ years in this league with heavy minutes and bad ankles.

Hopefully H2O retires and we can get him off the cap in 2 years.

Maybe we can get an Andrew Bogut a josh Boone Rudy Gay Daniel Gibson type of picks over the next 2 years make some smart YOUNG MLE decisions and build like 7-8 guys under 25 to play together like wash has done.

if sweetney, ariza, steph & jamal play and we still wind up with the 5th pick then we are in big trouble. I'm not sure our pick will make much of a difference unless we blow the team up if they are going to be that bad in this division.

That's true cuz the Knicks have talent...they aren't good obviously but if the Knicks get the 5th pick with this group then Isiah should shut it down.

I really don't wanna do that but if the Knicks are going that road they might as well go full throttle. Starting with Stephon.....which would be enough to break him.....especially with all the talk of teams becoming better once he leaves.....

Isiah should try one last time to revamp the line-up without trading youth. Hopefully this season can be salvaged. It's still too early.

Isn't this the same concept Mac basically posted "Anyone else rooting for the Knicks to miss playoffs?"

I agree... they should be better than the 5th worst team in the league...

I still want to make the playoffs.. Why backdown and regress. Hell No cause we're better than that..
LOOK, if Isiah's gonna get someone in the draft, it doesn't necessary have to be a top 5 pick..

Look @ last yr, HE didn't have a 1st round pick but still ended up choosing Ariza which according to other G.M.'s in the league, considered the pick a steal..

Listen, Isiah has an eye for talent... If the Knicks ended up with the 14th, 18th or even 21st pick, somehow Isiah would find himself a GEM.

The Future. GO KNICKS!

Admit it though. You loved it when Crawford broke Wesley's ankle.

* GASP * are you implying that they should make moves to basically tank the rest of their season in order to position themselves for a better draft pick? BRIGGS, what's come over you? i've suggested that the year Lebron James was in the draft & i don't remember u ever being on board for that plan...why the sudden change of heart?
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
