Layden has so many opportunites... can anyone name one good Layden move? Maybe drafting Lampe?
Lampe fell in his lap at #30 and even Lampe hasnt proved anthing yet. Sweetney was also drafted at #9 because he was the best player available. Layden did nothing good for this team. He only royally distoroyed it by trading Ewing and then trading for Dice

big difference is Layden had 274 games and the team got worse each and every season (yes, the wins went up from 02 to 03, but we lost Camby and a #7 pick for mr. Dyess). When Layden got here, he already had Spree, Houston and Camby. He traded Ewing for nothing but long contracts and Bad Rice and then traded Rice for even worse contracts.
Isiah has had 92 games, a little more than one season. In that time, he's clearly upgraded the talent in the backcourt, while developing two promising rookies (Sweets and Ariza), developing a young-ish center (nazr) and made the playoffs after two Layden screw-ups. I'll bet that when Zeke gets to game 274, the Knicks are in better shape than Layden's 274th game.
