seattle has 2 free-agents coming up, ray allen and vlad rad (restricted).

i'm not sure if they're willing to re-sign both to big $$$'s. allen is 30 and is seeking the max. vlad has been unhappy with his PT until this season but will likely ask for a big deal as well - comparable to rashard lewis (60-70 mil).

watching seattle this year, their identity is have EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE crash the boards when a shot goes up, inbound, run it out and jack up as many open three's that they can. it works b/c they have awesome long range shooters and players willing to crash the boards on the defensive end. if someone makes a basket, they say F'it and push it back down the court. the move the ball around so well on the perimeter that someone is always open for a 3.

vlad can knock down that shot easy. he's a big body at the 3, but he's not known for his defense. with ariza in hand for defense, would you be willing to trade kurt for vlad rad in a sign and trade? he scores a ton and should get alot of open looks with craw and marbury. if wally was being discussed, then vlad is right there with him.

btw, ruben patterson would be AWESOME for us. i was watching the game last night vs. sacramento and he made peja his version of beecher (from oz on hbo aka prison b*tch).

Toby Beecher. That character was unbelievable.

I found OZ tough to watch at 11pm and then try to get to sleep!

When they kidnapped and killed Toby's kid that was the last time I watched. Its not so bad he got put away for vehicular homicide and disbarred, his wife divorced him, was made a skin head sick phuch nazi dudes biatch, got a swastika tatooed on his butt, then gets in with good with another sick Phuch, his wife dies, gets addicted to drugs, and for good measure, they kidnap and kill his son.

My wife watched an episode with me and then commented, "why would you subject yourself to other peoples nightmares?" She is right!

Vlad? Oh, yeah, him, He is a good player, but while we got TT on the books, I can't see him here. Sure he is better than TT, but I hope the 3 is Reezys job in 1.5 seasons!

tough to say... I would say no. I think you have enough outside offense when Crawford and Marbury are on the floor at the same time. What you need are 3's that can defend and bang like Patterson and Ariza.

I think Vlade would be a little pricey also... probably a better option would be splitting the MLE and trying to sign Skita

vlad is basically kvh without the rebounding and with less defense. If we want to look more like Seattle next year, it's not a horrible move. I would only go for him if we were shut out on Stromile, Wilcox, Brand and Kwame. But, obviously, we have very little shot of any of those guys.

The only guy I covet right now is Josh Boone from Uconn, but they'd have to tank to get him, and we know Zeke won't tank.
