Okay folks, a few months ago I started a thread on creative ways of getting Curry without having to give up Sweetney. After the last 10 games for the Bulls Paxson would have to be on some really high priced drugs to let him go now....same for Chandler. So, who does that leave us with....Kwame Brown. The Wiz fans over there are back and forth about this kid in the same way the Bulls fans where about Curry and Chandler (now they're the rave). In fact they talk about this kid like he's a stepchild (and he's only 22). Now let me reiterate again, I under no circumstances want to give up Michael Sweetney. Sweetney more than held his own against Curry (3 rbs) and besides, our Power forward problems end the moment Sweetney starts. I've got coworkers that call Sweetney a bum (Lakers fans) and KT a terrific player (of course they balk when I offer KT for Odom ). So anyway back to Kwame (who they also call a bum). I got a feeling...again...that this is a kid that just needs a change of scenery. Without giving up Sweetney, Ariza, Marbury and Crawford, who would we give up and with how much money and picks to get Kwame.....if we actually want him. Is it realistic, a pipe dream...a fad? Get creative. It'll be a thousand years before we're ever under the cap as every one knows so we can't exactly offer him the lotto. How do we do it folks.....Discuss.

my guess is you'd have to give up Nazr & the 1st rounder unrestricted at the very least to get the Wiz to consider it.

I don't like Kwame, but if offered I would take the chance. HOwever, the Wiz would never trade this kid to an eastern conf team....

i think you do whatever is possible WITHOUT giving up sweetney and ariza. nazr + #1 may get it done now before the deadline or we may have to wait till the draft if washington wants this year's pick.

anything we can do to move nazr and get a young center in return and then follow that up by moving kurt for a pick or a swingman (since i don't think he can net us a center) would be our best course of action.

i don't want to give up on sweets, provided he DOES give up on sweets (of the sugary kind that is).

We don't have any players that the Wizards need. They have a solid starting line up. They don't need Nazr because they have Haywood. They also don't need Kurt because they have Ethan Thomas.

isn't Kwame a free agent this off season?

And is he a power fwd or a center?

I just remember the game where he schooled Webber. He looked like a star that game. I watched the whole game. Kwame plays a very strong game.....like Buck Williams.

id do that in a heartbeat.

and to people who find that unfair, think about this :

- we take the risks here, we take the step backward whereas the wizzards get a proven guy that coul help for a playoff run this year
- kwame has been injured most oif the yr, so it's not as if they would miss him
- he'll be FA soon, and it will be very hard for them to assess him. fact is a team with cap space could overpay to get him, and they'd loos him for nothing

that deal makes sense for both teams.

Ditto. I think nolad said Nazr + Moochie + 3 million (to cover nazzys salary) and maybe a 1st rounder for Kwame in a sign and trade for a deal starting at around 8 million in the first year. This makes the deal sweeter for them and it is still worth the risk. we need ayoung big who isn't a rookie who can be ready in a year or 2 to live up to his potential. Only Kwame or Curry appear to be able to deliver on thats. zeke get us KWAME!!!
