I think Isiah did what he could to get us some better players but the Knicks are still running the same boring offense that they've been running for ages (and the other teams know it). The Knicks Jumpshoot too much, they start out most games well, control it for a while and lose it late. All most teams have to do is stay close and wait for the Knicks shots to stop falling. Once that happens, Lenny doesn't adjust the offense, I don't think Lenny has many or any plays that go to the hoop, when Marbury does so, I believe that he does it on his own. I've always liked Kurt but he hasn't added anything to his offensive game since he's been in the league. I can find very few forwards in the league that have so few free throw attempts. The Knicks need a new defensive minded coach and they definitely need a new playbook. Lenny isn't going to come to a epiphany and admit that he can't coach this team so it's up to Isiah to send him packing. We have enough talent to have not just a better record but a much better record.

I've been saying the same thing about Lenny's coaching style.

The problem with your post, however, is that Isiah hired him, reportedly without much planning or forethought, and despite the fact that Lenny showed signs, in Toronto, that the game had passed him by. Consequently, Isiah must share in the blame.

To make matters worse, he gave him a ridiculous contract, which may be the reason that Lenny hasn't been fired yet.

I would also blame Isiah if he makes some short-sided trades for underachieving players with long-term contracts, like Jalen Rose.

Our favorite writer Mitch Lawrence has an article out on ESPN.com saying "It's not a matter of if Isiah Thomas will fire coach Lenny Wilkens. It's a matter of when"

Well explain why Marbury says it's not Lenny's fault.

Knicks captain Stephon Marbury took Lenny Wilkens off the hook for the Knicks' sickening slide, blaming injuries rather than coaching

Trading for a big body is going to be awefully hard for Isiah to do. What you all have failed to understand is that the East is depleated at that position. Almost every team, except for the Bulls are looking to improve at the front-court. Isiah will have to get what he can in my opinion. If it is Jalen Rose, so be it. If it is Olowokandi, so be it. The bottom line is that a couple of folks have to go to revitalize our franchise. We need an attitude change. We need a hot head in our starting lineup that can put this team on his back in the second half and win us games. What we have right now is not working, and something has to be done.

My wish is to see Lenny fired and Kurt traded to another team.....

Best trade partners are:

out West, Minesota, Denver, and the Clips

OUt East, Toronto. Forget about the other teams, because they have nothing to offer. The Bulls early on were a good partner, but Isiah was reluctant to pull the trigger when he had the poossibilty.
The true Knickabocker..........

How many times did I state that Lenny was a puppet.

It's one of the reasons that Thomas hired him in the first place. Isiah knew he was getting someone who was comfortable staying out of the headlines, as difficult as that is in the Big Apple. Because of that, Isiah, who loves the limelight, can operate out in front.

So when he watches his team, he literally is looking over Wilkens' shoulder. But Lenny never objects.

“ I have no issue with what he's done. Every time we lose a game it's not the coach's fault. The players have to take some responsibility. ”
— Knicks president Isiah Thomas on coach Lenny Wilkens
Just as he doesn't complain when Thomas walks into the locker room to address the team. Many other coaches, including ex-Knicks coach Jeff Van Gundy, would have a hard time if the GM decided to give the players a pep talk or a dressing-down. Those coaches believe the locker room is their place, and only theirs, to hold sway with the players. But as much as Wilkens is a competitor, his easygoing nature allows him to defer to Thomas.

Thomas knew that would be at the core of their relationship when he hired Wilkens last Jan. 14. Right before Thomas fired Don Chaney, his initial instinct was to bring in Mike Fratello. He and Fratello had several meetings and it was understood that the Czar was Isiah's first choice. But Isiah and Fratello couldn't agree on a contract and Thomas was said to have had other issues, including how he'd ever be able to coach the team if Fratello enjoyed success.
