yes we need help at the 4/5, but in all seriousness we prob cant get that b4 the summer when we can cash in on our exp deals. and i was thinkin that some1 like shane battier coud b a big help here. for onr hes a leader and a winner who "plays the right way". he brings the type of defense and intangibles that not only does r team lack but that a great team needs. he can shoot, and woud just b a great piece 2 add here. memphis has A LOT of swing men and even though he loves him, i think west woud give him up 4 the right price.
thoughts?

r small foward play hasnt exactly been great, tt hasnt ex been all-star or mb even passable level. i mean zeke is looking at and apprantly making offers 4 jalen rose, and i dont know bout ne1 else but i woud much rather hav shane battier here than a loser who plays no defense like jalen rose, we coud use a mature smart player like shane on this team.

There is nothing wrong with getting Shane, however West will never let him go. He is like one of his favorite players on the team.

don't see it happening unless you offered up Sweetney or Ariza.

i'd rather try & make a run at someone like Matt Harpring...maybe offer up KT for him since Utah could use some help in their frontcourt...once AK47 comes back, they will have a glut at the SF position w/Kris Humpheries & Kirk Snyder showing that they can fill the backup role...TT isn't giving this team anything at all, & Penny can sulk all year long until he's blue in the face, but it makes no sense to trade him now & take on a bad contract unless we are improving our area of weakness, which is defensive intensity & toughness...Harpring brings that to the table along w/scoring, hustle & ability to run the floor...

you can then start Sweetney & have JYD back him up at his more natural PF position:

C - Nazr / Baker / Sundov
PF - Sweetney / JYD
SF - Harpring / Ariza / TT
SG - Crawford / Houston
PG - Marbury / Brewer
IR - Moochie / Penny

we don't take on any bad contracts, & we improve our biggest areas of weakness, which is defense & intensity.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
