gone
Sundov
baker
Norris
Brewer

if houston's knee is FU--put him on IR and possibly get him to retire if there is no change after another full 6 month rehab to collect insurance and get him off the long term cap asap

Penny--likely used in trade bait

that leaves us at

KT
Nazr
Marbury
TT-perhaps he had an off year? give him one last chance off the bench
Crawford
Sweetney
Ariza
JYD

first option--try to trade Nazr to Wsh for Kwame even while he is hurt--they might go for this because they have to resign hughes and Nazr is still pretty young and his contract is good.

at the trade deadline--trade KT for an ending contract + a 2005 1st round pick--move Sweetney to starting PF

Draft

PF Wayne Simien 6-9 250
SF Joey Graham 6-7 220

2nd round pick via Van Gundy C D'or Fisher 7-0 250

MLE try to split MLE on Antonio Daniels and Steven Hunter 4 yr10mm for both

That leaves us at
C- Kwame Brown 7-0 260
PF Wayne Simien 6-9 250
SF Joey Graham 6-7 220
SG Jamal Crawford 6-5 185
PG Stephan Marbury 6-2 200
C Steven Hunter 7-0 240
PF Mike Sweetney 6-8 260
F Trevor Ariza 6-8 200
GF Tim Thomas 6-10 240
PG Antonio Daniels 6-4 210

JYD 6-9 215
D'or Fisher 7-0 250
IR
Houston
Penny

I hear what you are saying, but the Wizards are that last team that would take Nazr. They have Haywood and Etan Thomas. They don't need another center or forward. I like Kwame too,but Washington do not need any of our players.]

Since his contractual status is the same as Penny's, I don't think there is any way that TT will be here next year.

I don't think thats true. They want an upgrade at the 4 and 5 and Nazzy definitely would be that for them. Now with hughes out they may want a swingman instead. But we would have to do a sign and trade because Kwame will be an UFA this year. A sign & trade for Nazzy, + Vinny or moochie + a pick should do it. He is the chance we should take interms of unproven players with potential.

that would never happen... even if washington is going to give up on kwame, which i doubt, they wouldnt do it for nazr. they could get a much better player elsewhere. we would need to add sweetney or ariza or picks with cash in order to get this done.

any team that will give an expiring deal and a 1st rounder for KT is crazy. rose+the 1st was the best we were gunna get, but that was offered last season, when KT was a yr younger, &wasnt locked up for so long.

Kt's a PF from a different generation, when are people gonna understand that. His value is low and Zeke gave him an extension that I never understood, why didn't he let the market determine his value and at the same time sped up the process with Mike Sweetney.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

you do realize how many people defend kurt thomas to this very day? he's slow and his game is one dimensional BUT he would be a GREAT fit for a team vying for a championship right now. detroit, san antonio, sacramento, miami, etc - everyone of those teams can use a kurt thomas b/c you're either pairing him with an awesome center or bringing him off the bench. in those roles, he's quite effective. as a starter with a .500 team and nazr at center, he's awful.

If you let the market determine his value, he would've gotten a dampier-esque contract

There is not a team knocking down the NYK door to get to KT. Stop the hype please. Last year he was at the end of his contract and teams that wanted to get under didn't want him so why would they want a aging player who is one dementional on their team. Face it Isiah F'ed with that call. His intention was to make KT's contract desireable all he did was make it undesirable. You can't get rid of KT unless you are willing to take the other teams crap so the trade is always going to be a wash. Crap for crap.

This team is making an ultimate mistake by not giving the reighns of the team to Sweetney especially when they aren't doing anything special. This my friend is no different from the cool aid Layden was serving its just that Isiah added just a little sweetney to it. Oh yeah!
