we have no chance at trading for webber this year, wt hll would sacremneto trad ehim when they have a team than can legitimately win it all? What scares me is the 3 Y and 60mm he has left starting at age 33. If Im Sacremento, I may think this is his bon voyage party, and wait to ream a team like the Knicks who would be willing to take the 20mm per on.
But thats not going to just cost an ending contract, Geoff Petrie will pimp our 1st round pick, Ariza and Sweetney along with T Thomas and Baker. Petrie is a tough smart dude to deal with. hes not stupid, webber play continues like this--the asking price will be HIGH
it wont be something like two ending contract + a pick--it will be two ending contracts a pick + two young assets --similar to the marbury trade. Anyone can say, hey Webber is better than Marbury, no? so why should they take less? the owners and GM are smart--they would get maximum value from us--and remember its NOT this season. that would be our big move-losing all the young players and pick for webber. if thast what you want and take a 2 yr run at it, well it sure is possible iMHO. But anyone who thinks they are trading him this year are of their rocker, they have a good shot, especially after the upgrade of mobley here is the boxscore vs the clippers
