How difficult is it for a Knicks GM to make a trade in Dynasty mode! I admire Isiah for making the trades he has done!

Those of you who have the game, and have played the dynasty mode, how well are you doing? Anything you can tell me of help in the game?

I like my starting lineup in Dynasty so far.
C Oster (one of the rookies I drafted, overall 58 - shotblocking 83)
PF Odom
SF Artest
SG Crawford
PG Wade

In the first offseason, I traded TT and my two rookies (overall 48, 51) to LA for Odom and Mihm. Midway into the season, my record was dropping down to something like 4-11 (29 game season), and I was able to trade Kurt, Moochie, and my first round pick to Indiana for Artest and Pollard.
After a couple more seasons when Wade got his payday by Miami, I swung Marbury down south for him before he got out of my reach.

More impressive, I was under the cap for a short time (resigned several players for the minimum), but went back over by like 12M to resign Marbury/Artest/Odom, not all in the same year.
