now that i thought about it for a couple of minutes, i would only do this trade if we get a first rounder in return for taking back that fool.

in fact, cut out everybody esle, why give miami all that cap room? go straight to toronto and give them penny for rose and a #1. they got 3 already.

with two #1's, we'll have a LEGITIMATE shot at one of the bigs.

This could be the first move that I don't like from Isiah. It's a talent upgrade, but it doesn't put them anywhere near over the hump. Rose is another 2/3, one with an even longer contract.

Jalen is 2 years younger, signed for a year longer than Penny, and is a pretty good talent. HOWEVER, what does this do to the Knicks? It doesn't push them over the hump, and now let's check out their rotation at the 2/3:
Crawford, Houston, Rose, Ariza, Tim Thomas, JYD.

GREAT! We have SIX players to play 2 positions, 3 of them are making max money, 2 are making all-star money, and 2 of them are worth what they're being paid (Ariza, Crawford).

I don't get it. They need help inside, they need help on defense, so you trade an impotent player for another swingman? How does this help them?

it's for the #1 bigsmooth. the two #1's really give us some quality chips to get a player. heck, the wizards got jamison for basically a #1 last year.

Then you have Marbury, Crawford, TT, Rose, Houston, Ariza and that doesnt include the guy thats starting at SF right now JYD. He's a good pass, but he dominates the ball and he's another guy that doesnt D.

If Tor wants to give us Rose and their unprotected pick for TT and the Knicks #1 in 06 I will do it. Otherwise like I said... enjoy 3 more years of Jalen at max dough

A couple things....

1-That lineup is a VERY dangerous lineup...I used Webber as an example because he is prolly the most available big man at the moment...How about TT ands a pick for Odom and some cash to make it work Salary wise....Big men are at a minimum and a premium....there just are not that many available and Nazr has been more than servicable....

I think that a lineup with Webber or Odom gives us a HUGE amount of versatility, although I agree that Webber and Rose are not a direction I would prefer to go in, they are an improvement....

2-Rose hated Lenny in Toronto, no? Maybe this would be a sign Lenny is on the way out the door?
