I can remember it as if it were yesterday that i was miserable everytime i watched a Knickerbocker basketball game

i was tired of all the talk about mcDyess and his knees.

Frustrated at the fact that i had to adapt my line of thinking because clarence weatherspoon and Othella were our power forwards. some power

i love cholly ward but at some point it's time to move on then they brought in mark jackson.

why

then came to sprewell trade. oh god

how could i as a knickerbocker fanatic get amped up to watch a mood engaging rim rattling thunderous breakaway....layup

(crying)

and then came this kid ariza who has given me as many thrills in this short season along than i was given in those full seasons

this kid makes watching knickerbocker games that much more exciting and the thing about it is that he hasn't even begun to scratch the surface the yet

i liked when philly drafted iguodala and i was thinking to myself wow i wish he had him but lo' and behold we do.

go Air iza!

rumble young man rumble

Love that kid, he's quickly becoming my favorite player. Hope he has a long (and of course, successful) career in NY.

Dare is a god, dare is a god!

shun the fan who even breaths a trade with our new boy savior!

Part of Derek Jeters appeal is he is home grown! There are people who tell me they say him play at single "A" ball when he broke the "error" record for a season! Look at what a fine player our little Derek grew to be.

I prefer our home grown to the Starphuching system. The 1998 yankees were primarily home grown. That was perhaps the greatest team in history (top 3 at least)! George has not had the same success with all these new megaGazillionaires!.

Same is true with basketball. build a core of players and add to it with trades or free agency.

I watch this kid off the ball! I share some of the fans sentiment when he flies and does something spectacular. I point to the tube and tell my wife, with tears in my eyes "Look honey, dare is a god, oh, dare is a god afterall!"

The dog goes back to sleep and mumbles for me to get a life!

The other night, when the knicks lost to the nets, I remember during the game when ariza was guarding vince. There was one play when he beat vince to the spot on which should of easily been called a offensive foul, but because he is a rookie and vince is a allstar, vince got the call, now trevor was about to be helped off the floor by a teamate, he declined the help, not being rude, but because he was so upset, he had that upset look, not of despair but of competitiveness, he felt that he could guard vince, that he should be able to guard vince, especially if he is going to be a player in this league, that is the fire and desire I like in this kid....

yes i remember that play. he showed character and i like that as well

do you remember the other night against the jailblazers when he caught the alley oop from starbury and threw it down then he paused for a moment with his mouth wide open

(tears forming in my eyes)

i don't think the kid he even understands what he means to knickerbocker fanatics

... and I get the feeling people don't truly understand how much better it is when you take into consideration the fact he's 19 years old.

Now... can you believe some of the characters (on this website) who are willing to throw Trevor into a fool hearted "trade of the day" idea... as an after thought for mediocre players (like Dalembert and Kwame Brown)?

Trading the kid could divorce me from the team! I could be driven to Brooklyn Nets with one more dumb ass trade. yeah, 32 years and counting. If you cant' give me a banner, don't take away the Kid!

in the limited time he played in the heat game, he SHUT DOWN wade! including a hell of a block on him. so even on defense that kid's not 19. with that said, no one took more pleasure in saying that kid is a knick than a knick fan in miami. too bad we lost.

just for the record ladies and gentlemen, regardless of what you think about this rivalry being "dead" and all, i can assure you it's not. it's alive, well, and deep in the memories of all heat fans. also bear in mind that their are many knicks in full bloom here, so we definitely represent. now, if we can only find another ariza. (except about 6'11/7'0 and about 260/280)
Air - iza , thanks
