from the sporting news :

The Knicks might have the league's worst perimeter defense, and it showed during a recent four-game losing streak. New York made heroes out of several seldom-seen wingmen. Nets SG Rodney Buford lit up the Knicks with 6-for-8 shooting and 13 points off the bench. Next, Kings SG Maurice Evans scored a career-high 16 points on 7-for-9 shooting. An old friend, G/F Shandon Anderson, had 12 points on 4-for-8 shooting. And, finally, the Knicks were torched by Cavaliers stud (ahem) G/Fs Ira Newble and Lucious Harris, who scored 30 points combined on 11-for-15 shooting. . . .

We all know way too well what Shandon Anderson is capable of so that really hurts.

But, Allan can't get himself open, how can he stop someone else from being open?

Craw come back soon. Penny too, he plays good D, just not so many shots from him. If he wants more time I would love to see him play like he deserves it.

We may even have to start trevor at the 2 and have allan come off the bench.

If we didn't have capable SGs on our squad, I would say start Trevor, but we do. Therefore, Trevor should be a backup at this point. However, when it comes to the SF and PF position, Lenny shouldn't have any hesitation by playing whoever from our roster. All of the players we have at those two positions are experienced players, except for Sweetney, but he is more than capable of holding his own.

Houston cant guard anyone right now.. the guy just cant move. Shandon is gone and Penny/Crawford are on IR. Brewer could help there defensively but he's out for a couple more

He could never guard anyone unless he tries which he generally doesnt.

no way.. Houston has always worked hard on defense, he's just isnt quick. He works verty hard away from the ball and fights over screens. He's not quick and he never has been. Right now he just cant move. If you tell me its effort I tell you you havent been watching him play.

Best example would be Reggie Miller in 99. Houston guarded him very well in one game and not very well in the other.
