blazers shot 55% and if the knicks didnt shoot 59%, i'm not so sure they would've won. its a sad thought. after the heat and emergency locker room meeting where players vented and let out steam, you'd think they'd address what they have been talking about for so many games: DEFENSE! This is sad, it really is. I'd be damned if anyone were to disagree.

The Knicks aren't going to be a top team until they learn to play defense. As it is, they had to score more than 105 points against Portland. That's not a great victory and it's not a good omen for the future.

The Portland Trail Blazers added some depth to their injury-riddled frontcourt Sunday, signing rookie free agent James Thomas to a 10-day contract. The 6-9 Thomas appeared in 14 games for the Roanoke Dazzle of the NBDL, where he averaged 12.1 points and a league-leading 14.3 rebounds.

It figures, their frontline scoring was worst than ours.

At least they went to the NBDL.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I meant, did we win cause we play well or did we win cause they played so poorly that we couldn't loose.

You like a nagging housewife. Biatch biatch biatch, but no enough to go at it alone. Your gleeful when advesity hits. You along for the wins, but look out when they mess up, Cuz Playa gonna (with Glee) let us know all that is wrong.

Isiah spelled it out yesterday, the expectations are not that high for the team, and for the price it would cost to change, we won't get significantly better and still pay a price.

We got problems. We all know that. But none of those guys are better than we got. They just need a few bodies on the roster.

the knicks were in control the entire game...the score got closer in garbage time...Bruno Sundov was on the floor with 11 minutes left in the 4th quarter (a move i don't understand...it seemed Lenny thought they had the game in the bag way too early...POR almost made another run in the final 5 minutes)
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I wouldn't call it a poor victory. Really anytime you win it's a good victory. The Knicks have to outshoot their opponents to win. On the positive side, it's good that they're able to put up those kinds of numbers occasionally.

However, it's true that it's not a good omen. The Knicks have the 25th ranked defense in the league, and I don't think many serious contenders have a flaw that big.
