would you guys trade kurt thomas for weatherspoon and houston's #1?

my main objective is to get another #1 pick. my first preferance is shipping kurt to cleveland for diop + wagner + #1. i don't know if paxson would do it. would kurt + tim + ariza be able to net us an artest (w/ croshere)? i don't know.

spoon is expiring next season at $6.5 mil which would be easy to move along with the other expiring deals. but we get another #1 in the 15-20 range. that #1 has alot more value in deals than kurt, imo. i think van gundy bites on this one. the media will probably blast isiah but who cares.

or possibly even for greg ostertag and a #1 since he's expiring as well. probably not as good a pick but sacramento may bite on this one as well.

As much as I want to see the fast food industry in NYC boom, I don't think I could tolerate Spoon again. It wouldn't be such a bad trade, but I'd wait to see what other options are out there.

Its not bad. Id push a KT for rights to Malike Badiane(remember him), Spoon & there #1. 2 things though. We could probaby get a better player in the offseason for Kt like maybe a Chandler or Brown. And 2 this draft doesn't seem that strong.

Though this guy Petro from france seems like everything we need. I would mind having 2 picks to make a move for him.

Strengths
Superb Athleticism. This guy can block a shot, control it, make the outlet pass and change ends of the floor for a dunk very quickly. Great timing getting off his feet going up for blocks. Active player, he has grown into that more recently. Very long, great body. Moves his feet on D very well, could guard all 3 front court spots in the NBA (think Rasheed Wallace). Has a nice half hook coming across the lane that he can get off at any time with a soft touch. Really grown as a passer and will be a nice high post player in the NBA in that area. Contrary to reports, a very good motor. More competitive then people give him credit for. 7'0 260 18yrs old.

Houston might not make the playoffs (as they stand now & with KT) and that could be a lottery pick- if it were unprotected, bring fatspoon and the number one on over.
