It is not TT's fault that our team is not doing well, nor Marburry, or Kurt, or Nazr. The coach needs to assume responsibility for the deficiencies that our team has been exhibiting all season long. All of our players have mentioned Defense as what they need to improve on, but after 32 games and a full preseason, we have showned no improvement what so ever. When a team is inconsistant at a certain thing, especially when that team is losing because of that certain thing, adjustment has to be made. Somewhere in our starting lineup a tweak has to be made. the 3 and the 4 have been our weakest lynk, despite the fact that it is well knowned by the administration, the head-coach has yet to address the problem.

Why not play Ariza or JYD or Penny at the three to see if that will fix the problem???

Why not play JYD or Sweetney or Vinny at the four to see if that will resolve our problems?? It is one thing if he didn't know that a problem exist, but he does. His incompetence should not be tolerated anymore. more than 32 games as our coach is enough. Fire him...Denver fired Bzdelick, Lenny can be fired also....

i agree 100% with the complete opposite of what you said...

more than 32 games as our coach is enough. i agree, just like more than 1300 post is enough.

diderotn, your logic is seriously flawed. The players play, the coaches coach.

Marbury is more of a team leader.

Sweets is MUCH better than last year.

Nazr is MUCH better than Sweet's "MUCH better".

That's what coaching has done.

Just because the players can't execute what the coaches teach does not absolutely make a bad coach.

Please, use some sense.

Lenny cannot go without getting some criticism but, (I hate to say it)I would have to agree with Martin.

i will agree that lenny makes poor substitution changes, ie letting penny getting minutes over ariza, sundov playing over baker. also i dont like how lenny coaches close games near the end of the 4th quarter....but, our young players are getting better.

Sweetney's a significantly worse rebounder than he was in the 2nd half of last year, but otherwise I agree with everything you said

Anybody ever think that Lenny finally realizes what he got himself into and really is just going to thru the motions and deep inside wants to bounce and understands he will still get paid, as old as he is he doesn't need to be disrespected by some young guns who never won anything.

has anyone looked at Lenny's coaching record? They has worked just about every year since the 70s. I think he's had 2 years off out of the last 25. Did it every occur to fans that the GMs and owners that have been hiring and paying this guy *might* know a little more that you do?

Didrotn.. give me a break. This is coming from a guy that says TT should start at PF. Wake up people... please. The roster is flawed, its that simple. If you cant see the gaping hole we have in the frontcourt then follow a differnt sport.

Show me a team with a better record that doesnt also have a better frontcourt.

Lets go over them just for fun
Cle
Det
Ind
Mia
Wash
Orl
Min
Pho
Sac
LaL
LaC
Denver
Hous

Its not even debateable. The only team thats close is Seattle, but even they have 2 guys at the 3 that are better than ours by A LOT.

Yes.. Lenny fix this team indeed

Lenny is worse than Chaney and Chaney was bad but you would have a hard time convincing me he was any worse than Chaney. Lenny has more talent to work with but the KNicks are only 3 games ahead of last years pace with Chaney and he had very little to work with.

Vmart great post! At least Chaney wanted a chance to a pg in Marbury, but instead had eisley and ward.

Guys here don't understand we are getting the same goose egg from the same goose. More feathers but the same ugly duckling!

So, Fish, does that mean that the same GMs who have been firing this guy *might* know a little more than you do?

Fish, I thought this team was at best going to be at most 5 games above .500 or 5 games Below with that said they are right where they should be you are right. But this is what is frustrating to me and hard to accept. Thats why I think Sweetney needs to be starting not for this year but for the future is KT a part of the NYK future I highly doubt that this is called wasting time. That is why I'm willing to trade just about anyone for a players with potential.

Yes this team is where it should be when you have a coach who is the winningest coach and the losingest it mean right where they should be. When you take Marbury's career record into account the Knicks are right where they should be. When you take Crawford record into account the kNicks are where they should be. This team is an F'ing joke. Sick of this team and the players and IT is included. I don't want another playoff birth with a sorry team it mean nothing it doesn't inspire hope in me and a .500 team never will. Unless IT steps up and brings in a coach who knows winning only. This team won't go anywhere that is the first step toward winning on a consistent level.

Lenny isn't the answer he can't even teach defense so how will this team ever be consistent. I'm Watching Nat McMillian its not like he has loads of talent on the team if anything they might have less but its his ability to get them to work cohesively that is putting the Sonics where they are. D'antoni on the Suns is doing an exceptional job he has a lot of talent but he isn't wasting the talent he took his talent and gave them an identity probably the most important thing to a group of players could have. Can someone please tell me what the NYK identity is as a team are they half court, defensive, running team. No one knows what they are trying ot accomplish not even Lenny the culprit whose job is to give the team an identity. I look at teams like the Nets whose identity was to run, Pistons who identity was defense, Spurs defense, Lakers Shaq/Kobe and triangle. You will never see a team that gets to the finals with out an identity and the Knicks my friends don't have one so they won't even be sniffing the finals. Its sad but it is true and that is Lenny's job and he isn't doing it. Thats why he needs to go.

Seattle is the obvious choice...i think the Knicks have more talent on their team, but Seattle is able to do something the Knicks can't, win games on a consistent basis.

Anderson(6.6) Penny(14.6) Houston(17.5) Thomas(12.9) Baker(3.4) Norris(3.8) Ameachi(2.8)

Thats a total of 61.6million dollars.

With the total production of 30pts, 9.8rebs, 6.4assist, 2.3stls, .8bkls between them. Thats the real problem. The only way out is patience and let them expire as we continue to build with Marbury, Crawford, Ariza, Sweetney. Don't give up on them unless its offers we can't refuse. And keep adding young pieces. IF we could follow through with the plan we would be way better off in the long run. By the time Lennys contract is over so will all these bad contracts and we could start fresh with Marbury(31), Crawford(27), Ariza(22), Sweetney(24) and they would have played together for 3-4yrs plus with whoever else we add. It will be rough with the ups and downs but the development of Marbury to truely be the best PG in the NBA, Crawford shot selection & defense, Ariza strength, handle, Jumper, Sweetney consistancy & help D is more important than wins and loses this yr.

For this season im just praying we make playoffs and not have to face Heat-Indy-Pistons in the first rd. We rip it up in the first rd and fight hard in the 2nd. TT-KT-Narz play so well in the post season there value sky rockets for the offseason. Marbury-Crawford-Ariza-Sweetney show a lot of improvement.

Disecting every game is to much work so instead I took the lazy way and decided to look at the bigger picture for this yr and how can we really benifit from it since there is no realistic shot at a championship.

I can not believe you Fish....Lenny has lost more games than any other coaches in this league, and you know what, he did that just in the last few years of his career. This guy used to be a great coach, but it comes a time in everyone's life where retirement is the right thing to do. Lenny is a good teacher, especially when it comes to teaching ofense, but the same can not be said for him teaching defense nor making decision during games, and that my friend is a huge concern. Last year,he made countless poor decisions at the end of many games, and the train has continued this year. I am sorry, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the flaws in Lenny's coaching abilities. Is he a good teacher and a coach? yes, but right now, at his age, his judgement late during games is very bad.....He needs to save his dignity by doing exactly what Hubbie Brown did, just retire.

Check out the Griz, they made the decision to instill my man Battier in the starting lineup with B. Wells coming off the bench, and look at the result. The same should have been done by Lenny with either TT or Kurt. The starting lineup is in serious need for a bone crusher. JYD as a veteran should be our Battier. TT should play the role that Wells have been playing as of late, and we would have had better ballance with the rotation....Lenny has done nothing to show show some sort of willingness to remedy the problems that we have... Therfore, he has to go. Promote Agwire and keep on paying the salary that he is getting until the end of the season. That would offset the money that Lenny is due this season.
