no... keep the young core together. I would rather use our expiring deals and or #1 this offseason in a sign and trade for Kwame, Dalembert, Swift or Curry then do that now.

I want to build a young core of guys. Ariza could be a lock down defender against 3 positions. Sweetney hasnt even played a game yet. No... I think your overpaying there

I agree, kwame's stock perhaps has never been lower. You're overpaying.

dats a whole lotta dim sum.

i'd rather do nothing and just use the draft pick then give up sweets and ariza and another pick for brown.

that is a bit much, the key to getting kwame here is to have him team up with ariza, sweetney, crawford, and steph, that sounds like a nice lineup..

I would give up NAzr and Houston's #2 or a conditional #1 based on whether or not we resign Kwame. Thats a good deal

If you want to get a sense of Knick players' value, ask Briggs and then multiply that value by 100

that seems fair...i'd make that trade too if i could...Nazr's the better player now, but the fact that Kwame's 5 years younger than Nazr gives us alot of hope for him to develop into the player everyone thought he could be coming out of HS.

well, i look at it this way. it cost miami butler odom and a 1st round pick for Shaq. this is the same thing but on a much smaller level. We get a 7-0 270 pound 22 year old C for two young back ups an a pick that wont matter 4 years from now. We keep our starters which makes the management happy and are able to put KT back as a 25 minute back up. those guys are good players, but they arent 7-0 270. Im pretty sure hat if Kwame didnt get hurt, he would be untradeable right now. You buy something at its low value, and understand that, without being a Knick fan, we arent giving them an overberaing offer here. we can replace Sweetney or Ariza, but finding a guy who is 7-0 270 with his skill level and atlhetiscm is near impossible. I mean there are 4-5 guys I can think of who can replace sweetney or Ariza in next yeras draft. I dont think isiah will trade Nazr because this is a business and Nazr represents some reliability--sweetney and ariza are expendable.

MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH smaller level.

Kwame Brown might end up as one of the biggest busts as the 1st pick of the first round. To make any comparison to Shaq, the most dominant and valuable player in the league is nuts.

I would do Nazr, Ariza and a #1 for Brown.

I just think giving up both Sweets and Ariza is too much, and I don't think the Wiz need another PF.

... and Sweetney and Ariza are two of the very few bright spots this organization has... absurd BRIGGS.

Give us some ideas to get rid of the trash we have and I'm all ears. Not the two good young players we have for a potential bust.

my god.. they are only backups because they are 19 and 22. Isnt Kwame a backup? How do you know he's not the next Jerome Mosio or Keon Clark?

You always talking about checks and balances. You said yourself Sweetney was a must draft and could be a 20/10 player for 10 years. 72 games is enough to call him a wash?

Why is Ariza expendable? I dont get your thinking. Your putting all your eggs into one very shaky basket. It doesnt make sense if your goal is to get younger.

Miami gave up their key pieces and got back the best player in the NBA. We are giving up 2 guys that could start in a year for one that might never AND we will have to resign immediatly.

NO.. force Wash to make that call. I'm ok with getting him in a sign and trade and giving him a big contract. Thats a risk we can absorb. Giving away all our young talent isnt.

I want Kwame to prove he's even WORTH that much! You trade him, he comes here, guess what the most likely scenario is? He's playing 20-25 minutes BACKING UP KT because once again KT's consistency and defense and his oversized ego will make him the starter. If you trade for someone, you trade for someone who is outright better than KT so that there is no issue about minutes and who's starting.
Every year people say this is the year for Kwame, well guess what so far all I've seen are flashes. He's as inconsistent as they come and his behavior recently this year with the wizards has not been positive.
By the way, the guy is a 6'11'' 243 pounder who is coming off a broken foot. His stats last year of 11 ppg and 7.4 rpg in 30 minutes could probably have been done by sweetney in 30 minutes too. Kwame is foul prone and should only be picked up if it is a bargain deal. a first round pick + the future prospects of our team is not a bargain.

What some don't realize is when we get a kwame type of player and get rid of the kt type of players ,the knicks style of play would not be the same.
We would be more of an up and dowm team and less of apick and roll team.
