man, he looks O-L-D. he can't even run around those screens anymore on the OFFENSE. he's running all weird and hobbling back and forth.

for those that had or know about leg injuries, is that normal or is h20 just about done? is he now going to be a $20 mil version of dale ellis and steve kerr or will he somewhat be able regain a little fluidity in his movements?

it was normal for me. I had an major knee reconstruction and it took me 2 years to stop running funny. One leg gets weak and the other compensates. It screws up your gait and its bad for your hips but I think its somewhat normal. Time will tell though, because its obviously affecting him.

fact is he was much less exposed as long as craw was there.

I have to eat my words, when I thought he would be ready to start. He'll be later, i hope, but that's clearly not the case.

Btw, im amazed how many guys on forums have had their knee fixed... Is there something in the food in the US or what ?

He had an injury that required microfracture surgery. No NBA player has ever fully recovered from that type of injury. Houston won't be the first. Maybe he'll get a little better than he is now. On the other hand, the stress of playing will increase as the season progresses, which works against him. I don't expect much from him anymore.

Webber had it, and he's having a wonderful season. He may have lost his explosiveness, but he still can play.

CWebb can use his size to compensate for his lack of mobility though...Allan has to do alot more running around to get open & get his shots...i think it will be alot tougher for Allan to get back to his former self than it was for CWebb.

Webber had it and after several years is still nowhere near the player he used to be, although he's still good. At Houston's age, I don't expect as much of a even partial success story. Kidd had the surgery on a non-weight-barring part of the bone. That's a much less severe procedure. We still don't know how he'll hold up, though.

I'm very concerned Allan Houston will ever get his legs physically where they need to be to make him the player he once was and the player we need him to be.... to be honest, I was never too crazy about him when he was healthy though. That being said, if we're going to make the playoffs, we need him.

Can't make the playoffs without Houston?? This team can make the playoffs without Houston so long as Crawford, Marbury, and Nazy don't each miss a large number of games and the other role players are reasonably healthy.
