It is funny how some in here (playa) made it seem as if vince was going to be the nets cure all.. So far, vince is looking out for guess who? "VINCE"!!! Good going guy, so far the nets are getting crushed and by teams like the Bucks??? come on man...

This is what I see wrong.. The nets always had players who were good at letting Kidd create and then finishing the play, guys like kittles, kenyon, jefferson, williams, all played will with kidd moving the ball, creating shots for them as they finished, since they were not good with creating their own shots.. Well the problem with vince is that vince does not need a PG to create his shots, vince does that all by himself and that seems to take away from the strength of the nets offense and Kidd as a creator. That is why you see carter with 31 points and the nets as a team with 88, and tonight they scored what 77 points???

whoa!!!

i remember a few seasons back where kidd created every one of the nets shots, and guarded the other team's best perimeter player. in all likelihood, he can't do that anymore, he's old and starting to come down with injuries. he'll still be effective, but the nets do need players who are independently good. jefferson doesn't count, he's still at his best jsut finishing alley oops. is he still leading hte nba in turnovers?

he is... you have to look past the 6-14 effort and understand this is an above the rim player that commands a double team.

Sorry.. still rather have Crawford

Vince is a much better player, and leagues ahead of Jamal, its tough to compete when your front line has no players, if we traded for Vince, he would have made everyone better because of the attention that is paid to him....

Crawford doesn't really do one thing better than Vince, so why would u rather have Jamal, news flash Crawford is far more selfish on the court than vince

Vince Carter is too injury prone.

You sound like a broke record that never made the top 40, Crawford is out until maybe feb and you keep bringing up injuries.

hey.. what do you know. Crawford works his way back faster than expected and VC is... well dont take my word for it.

BYE!: Toronto is 8-7 since trading Vince Carter. After Wilkens was fired as Raptors coach, Carter criticized Wilkens by saying "the game has passed him by."

Wilkens, of course, has since made the playoffs with the Knicks and is currently in first place. Carter has missed the playoffs for the past two years and the Nets are 6-10 since acquiring him.
By the way... I copied this from a newspaper
