he's averaging 20 & 10 but the team has been 3-16 with him as the franchise player. the jazz have been HORRIBLE without ak47. a bunch of blowouts and every game has boozer as the leading scorer and rebounder.

are there any knocks on boozer or is this just elton brand syndrome? is there a difference between him and SAR and his grizzlies and hawks teams?

just curious to see what everyone thinks.

I think Utah will wait until AK47 comes back to make a judgement on the team. Boozer is also a BYC player and will be hard to trade.

no, i'm not talking about trading for him, i'm just asking what y'all think about him and his ability to be a franchise PF?

I think boozer is a clear step below franchise player and will ALWAYS be. He's a muscular 6'8'' guy who plays extremely hard and has more athletic ability than he is credited for.
THAT being said, he will never be a franchise-type player. He can be an EXTREMELY effective 2nd option on offense/defense (see lbj, year one) but might not have been worth the contract. You can't say much about his weaknesses other than his contract. I'd go for a more athletic PF first but he's a good option to look at.

boozer was never supposed to be like brand. Utah overpaid badly cause noone ever wanted to come there.

now, they lost what makes their team a very dnagerous team.

make no mistake, kirilenko is their franchise player, and a freaking good one. I'd give anybody on the team, i mean anybody, to get him.

The Jazz started to struggle badly about 2 weeks BEFORE Kirilenko's injury

Boozer isn't the type of PF who can carry his team, but he's still a damn good player...i don't think K-Mart could carry his team either, & i think he's awesome.

just because his team is struggling doesn't mean you can judge Boozer as being overrated...no one is saying he's on the level of a KG, Duncan or Amare anyway.

how can Boozer be a BYC player when he's signed with a new team?
